Midwest USA here. Were a ways away from one another, but that's the point of this site; Bringing people together from all over the world and all walks of life to share in the gift that keeps on giving=growing cannabis!!!
What part of Oz u from? Im down south in Victoira mate, so glad i didnt attemp an outdoor grow this season as it has been fucked up with no sun and heaps of flash flooding, even tho im in metropolitan, we still had fuck loads od rain this summer

haha yeah at the start he said he only wants 4, but he just came over then for a check up and he wants to go for more of a sog style under his 2 x 400W he's in soil pots atm, he wants to do 8 now lol, well thats fine but im not sure if all 9 will root or not, the way he wants it done is a sure way to get stem rot real quick!!
So i'm not even sure if i want these particular clons the strain/genectics is unknown, but the smoke is pretty good.
I started this whole op for my personal use which is roughly a 1/2 oz a week (i know thats a lot buts its the way it is), so the taste and potency overides the "i gotta get the most yeild i can" syndrome. Thats why i like to know exactly what im gonna grow, so i can adapt my growing enviroment to suite what the strain ive chosen needs best to flourish!

Hey DM yeah im just hoping the the company GROWLUSH has decent gear, Odlaw and a few other people i know have said there have been a few worries about their ballasts, but shit who cares, next one will be a dimmable Lumatek one, im not worried too much, i bought a complete package for one reason to start asap, i can refine and upgrade anytime, the best gear wont neccessarally grow the best dope if ya know what i mean lol

Im waiting for some California Orange x Skunk#1 and some mango and some Afghani.......Woot Woot!!

Thanks Grumps! you know i might just strike up a conversation with ya about doing a scrog with this grow, i was gonna top and train, but i got a gazzilion ideas running through my head right now, shit i want a double drop 600W bulbs and do a vert scrog on three sides, but that will have to wait till i get a few cooltubes

Ps everyone......i have started some casual labour work so that is a little better for my situation, so will still try and be on here as much as i can

Sunny waterlogged Brisbane - luckily unaffected by the floods, but I feel for all the guys and gals that lost their grows (and everything else) recently.

ha no shit, i used to live outside maroochydore at a place called coolum beach (sunnycoast airport) well its was only a 6 month stay but yeah it was nice.
yeah our beautiful land has copped it bad recently and it is heartbreaking to see all the devastation!

I know what you mean. I just bought a generic setup with a dual ballast and regular reflector. I figure I can always upgrade, what matters in the beginning is the presence of the light itself.

Also, I LOVE any skunk strain. I grew original Skunk #1 for my first grow, and the genetics of those plants are always consistently well-rounded. And if Cali Orange is anything like the Orange Crush my homies from Humboldt grew a few years back, you're in for a treat.

hey guy's after waking and baking i decide that its time for a little update on how things are going. As you know i am looking after 9 of my mates clones for him, and today is the start of their 3rd day in there (gone from a different set up 400W to 600W, cuttings were taken 3wks into flower).
Well i know that a yellowing sign on the fan leaves on a clone is either a light problem too strong or a phosphurus defiency, P is for root development. well after taking the clones that werent doing too well under a 1ft fluro they already had nute burn leaves, i cleaned some of the dead shit off them.
Yesterday i noticed that the trays were drying up fairly quickly, 1" over 8hrs but they still seemed pretty happy i guess, i topped up both trays with A.P.S and stopped misting them with water, well i think i have a heating problem in my tent as it is like 35celcius 97farenheit in there (pic#1), and personally i would like it down in the 75-80 range. and this is with 4 fans in there....... 2 @ 500CFM!
i guess i'll be busting out the portable a/c?

Oh yeah and the two pics of the buds are from the clones mum, its cured and smokes up all right, pulled early IMO and tastes like lemon soil to me.....
and my little pencil thing wont allow me to enlarge the pics!!! not sure why?

....Quick note, I just reconfigued my fan placement and my temps have dropped to 87.3 degrees after 15mins..........getting there

otherwise here are my choices...the first one is a $99 evaporative cooler that does all right.... runs off a wick system from melted ice, probally just use the
the second option is the big bag reverse cycle, that blows at 15,000 BTU, but cost us around $550-it makes the room fuking cold lol
the last pic is showing the hot air ducting going out our window.

funny enough Odlaw its got a 18 ltr/4.7 gallon res in it and its stays cold for hours takes a day 24hrs to get empty on full knacker in summer....pretty good but it just doesnt cool down our living area, as we have an open planned house, and its noisy so we cant have it in the bedroom, im working on a cold air intake from the exit of it to the bottom of my tent, this will enable me to still zip it all the way down to the ducting and seal out all the light!

yeah be quick tho man cause the summer heat wave is gone and they will probally be clearing the shelves very soon, tho if you pm me i can hook you up with with an address that is a great factory seconds place, right around the corner from my joint, i love it, i also got 4 hydro stores all within 5-6mins of each other, and an aqaurium shop (as ya know) lol
