just because you're too lazy to work out at home doesn't mean the OP is. not everybody has to use your method.
Did I make it sound like I was too lazy? My apologies. I've been doing 5 days per week for the last 17 years and with a full setup in my basement, I'm telling you that nothing beats the atmosphere and equipment supplied by a quality gym. As others have said, jazzersizing in front of the TV will get old real fast.

In two to four weeks, you'll never touch your bowfarce tardbells again.
Workout equipment at home are for the days your gym is closed.
not a workout stiff but most of the 'fit' people I know work out at home, jog at the park, play sports.... unless you are a professional athlete, recovering from illness, or something else, a gym membership is a money pit. all the excersices in a 'well equipped' gym can be done with a set of dumbells..... OOPS.....

most of the posers that go to the gym also gulp down lbs of synthetic protein, have probably done liters of steroids, and are probably gonna die of 'health related reasons' probably attributed to their incomprehensible infatuation with the gym and unhealthy muscle building.......

I worked with a guy that was really excited about it, but he is young and in great shape to begin with...*really great shape* and he only stayed with it for like 3 weeks...said yeah it worked if you had the time and inclination to work yourself into a frenzy in front of your TV everyday....which I guess most people don't.

Honestly all in all the home workout things are made to entice lazy people that want to lose weight without putting in the work...I can say this without offense because I am a lazy person, I am not a fat person...but I don't exercise...I do it the other way...normal daily type things and i just don't eat too much...and if I do eat too much, then I eat considerably less for the next good bit...willpower I have---energy I do not have....lol. The only way a gym can help someone that is overweight is if they have a personal trainer to help them know what to do and how...which is expensive...When i get in a kick where I feel like i should work out I just find random household things to do...like crunches to clean out under the couch---lifting jugs of water while going from a sit to a stand---I have even been known to do step aerobics on the coffee table...exercise is easily totally free....and if you can't keep up with doing some ghetto equipment exercise everyday then chances are you shouldn't spend any money on more expensive equipment taht you also won't keep using everyday...try it the cheap way for 2 months...if everyday you find time to run around your yard, jump on your couch, lift up chairs and such---then purchase some sort of equipment and keep doing it...

No shit those gyms are a money pit, you do nothing but pay to go lift weights. Fucking useless exercise that you do alone... congrats to whoever can move a desk because they pump iron all day and rail lines of protein powder just to get 22inch arms. I can kick someone's face off of their head.

Fuck weights and paying a membership to workout alone. There's no motivation in that.
