Hi I barely started growing indoors

hi i barely started growing indoors, i have just one plant for this 1st time growing, the plant right now is about 6 inches right now i have it under a flouresent 25 w lol, i know it's not much 4 right now but when i get money i plan to buy some better equipment, i wanted to askthis question it's just a flourescent 25 w light but the plant has not dropped or anything changed does that means it's doing good for that light ???( this is my plant right nowhttps://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-pics/index.php?n=2939[/IMG]

it's going to be hard to grow with a 25W fluoro but it can get you started. remember to keep it within 1" of the plant and get a breeze going in the grow area.

thanks yeah im trying to find an old little fan around to put, and also do u know at what height the plant is best to sex, i know im going to buy some better lighting for right now in the veg stage ?

You can't sex plants while they're in the vegetative stage. You'll have to wait until you adjust the lighting schedule to 12 hours dark and 12 hours of light:

yes i am aware of that to sex u will have to cha nge the light schedule to 12/12 but my question is what height shud i start the 12/ 12 with some better lighting that i plan to get ?

It can depend on the strain and how tall the plant will get.

If you don't know that, then the best idea is to look at the height of the room you'll flower in. Put the plants into flowering lighting(12/12) once it's filling up 1/3 of the space.

Welcome to the forum. Looks like a nice plant. About ready to put under a better light for vegging. It would appear you have already done at least some research. What is your plan? ie space, budget, time line. You may want to look at some of the grow journals of folks using cfl's. Are you going to start a couple more seeds in case this one is male? Good growing.

thanks, well my plans for this grow since i only grew one this time, ima try to see if i get lucky and try to succesfully flower, if it turns out a she, right now yeah im on a budget 50 $ for some equip, i'm going to try to get some cfl's for this one plant and then thne my next grow at least 4 plants in my downstairs laundry room, is there a specific wattage of cfl's u recommnd for vegging ?

Look at the grow logs of people that are doing thier grows with cfl,s, Video mans come s to mind as one you may want to look at.
