Is that bad? I thought earning a good living is what we all want.

If a person is paid by providing a desirable service thru a consensual transaction, it is "good". It's not "good" if the job exists or is funded
thru confiscatory means. Why do you champion so much violence?

Sort of. In the private sector people have a CHOICE of what they will or will not purchase and can shop for their services from company A or company B, or if they don't like the options they can start their own company or simply do without that particular service and keep their money.

No such choice exists in the public sector does it?
Do you deny that ?
Sort of? *LOL* Careful, you came awful damn close to agreeing with me. :p

People rely on "money" too much. It's not even real, it's just a human thought.
My dream was always to spend my golden years in a grass hut being nurtured by nubile young women, of course the older you get the more likely you'll need money to realize that dream.

Money is necessary so that the wise, frugal and hardworking have a way of providing for themselves and not being a financial burden
on others if they can help it. If a person was industrious enough to prepare themselves for old age that's good, even better if they voluntarily share their good fortune with others if they made a shitload of $ in their productive years.

I definitely agree with you that people do get too reliant on money for their happiness....excluding grass huts and scantily clad servant ladies bringing pleasure into an old man's final days of course. Sorry.....long winter , warm weather and grass huts on my mind. :bigjoint:

Money is our medium for obtaining the goods and services which we desire, if we could go back to a gold system there wouldnt all be this excess money that is fake, but of course that will never happen because theres not enough gold value in the world to pay for all these unions, govt programs, social welfare, social security, massive defense budget, massive drug war budget, etc.

But back to money, there will always be "money" whether its in the form of paper or tangible goods and we must earn our own share so we can purchase own goods and services that we desire and when we desire these goods and services efficient businesses will provide them.

http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ "Moving Forward" explains how our Dollar is not value but Debt.. How we can never pay off the deficit.

What is clear to me is that we the people have not been educated enough on the core issues we are supposed to be responsible for.

you mean that superlative public education provided by our beneficent government and funded by our hard earned tax dollars isn't teaching us what we really need to know? i'm shocked and appalled.

I'm starting late today.. I don't get the " Why do you champion so much violence" yet today.

Lets see if I can write something poignant.
Since we are using an system of economic inequality all opportunity stems from taking what little the majority has to create new wealth. Therefore a minimum standard must be defined and defended with our collective lives or we shall see in this age the re-emergence of slavery.

So Workers of the World Unite!

How was that?

But what good is it if the people that make it also control it's value?

^^^ If you are talking the kind of "money" or debt notes issued by the Federal Reserve that is a good question.
It will be worth even less next week than today.
