I said the other day I was going to leave the lights off until wednesday but that made no sense, I must have been high? yes I was!!. That would have been 54 hrs of darkness lol!
The Lights came on at 6 today after 30 hrs of dark and they looked so perky and about an inch longer.
Set the screen at around 1" from tops. I'm planing on using the screen for trainning but mostly to support the weight of the buds.

The hps runs so much cooler than the mh or might be just because they are on for a short time. The ress temp has gone up to 71f after 12hrs on , that's 5-6 deg cooler than with the mh .hadn't use any ice to cool it down in 3 days. Temps are cooler in the tent only reaching about 75f. The humidity on the other hand is reaching almost 60% I'm going to have to control that some how? If I vent the exhaust back in the grow room that'll raise the temp and would lower the RH some too. Have to run it like that for a day to see what I come up with.
The plants are looking really healthy and bushy and I can def. See some stretch already. PH is at 5.7 amd PPMs are at a strong 1650 sorry no pics this morning.
Right now I'm using both hps, thinking if I should put the 400w mh in there with the1k hps? Or I could do that after the stretch?

You could dump your exhaust back in your tent to maybe reduce humidity. But that could also increase rez temps. Can you possibly increase your fan speed? That should reduce humidity some. I like the sound of adding the MH with the HPS, and the increased MH temps may help with humidity as well, but the rez temps could still be affected. You have it setup so nicely you could probably alternate the MH and HPS daily until whenever if you wanted

I don't like taking picture under hps, not good unless I cover the light or shut it off, pain in the butt!.
Added 3 gal of water to the rez replaced water pump filter and added nutes. Have to replace the filter on pump once a week. Found out that water level and quantity changes dramaticaly when roots grow and start taking space in the buckets. My system holds 12gal of water but I base all the nute calculation on a 10gal syst, that way I have less chance to overfert.
Think I'm going to prune some more fan leaves blocking light soon, because they're bushy as hell and the screen seems small now for the bushyness.
I came up with this simple way to calc nutes after adding water. Usualy I add 3 gal every 3 days so...I add only a 3rd of what I added when change the rez and usually takes me back close to where the PPMs were. So basicaly I've been eyeballing it lol! .
Going to be adding a second fan to see if it helps to bring down the RH some wich is 58-60%.

I'm 33 been smoking since I was 14 for the wrong reason you know rebelion. Then I took a brake for 8 years while in the military. About 2 years ago I started really doing reaserch on the topic and found out well that I'm a total ashole with a short temper and no patience when not on it and helps me with my sleeping problems and dealing with the injuries I suffer while in the service and in many sportsbike wrecks. Don't do it socialy I drink to be social.
What I'm trying to say is I'm curious to see how and why some of you following this journal use it.
I'm smoking a 1/4 a week out of a double chamber bong.I smoke first thing in the morning and that's 3am lol! Because I'm not hungry that early in the morning and that helps, also helps on my OCD problems. I always think I'm gonna be late no matter for what I allways get to places early so when I smoke in the morning or at any time helps me on keeping my speed down specialy on my bike.
After that I smoke after work and every 4 hours thats about 5 times a day. I also run and do excercise regulary. I take one hit out of the bong before running, it helps me concentrate on my breathing and I run 5-10mi at a time. Smoke before church and sex the only time I won't smoke is if going to take bike to the track . Don't know why I wrote all this bs but I did oh well

I feel ya there Mel. I don't smoke alot of hydro only because it is $100-$150 a 1/4 here, but I buy regular for like $65-75 an oz and I smoke prob a 1/4 every 2-3 days. Saves me money to buy it by the oz. So now I wanna grow some good bud so I don't have to spend my money on it all the time. I have a little over $1000 in my setup so I better get something to show for it. Lol! Used to smoke a 1/4-1/2 a day. But I smoke mostly blunts and smoke one about every 2-3 hours. Before work, lunch break, on my way home, then prob 2 more before bed. I need to stop smoking so many blunts cuz the tobacco in the cigar is not good for you. I prefer to smoke blunts because with joints, pipes, bongs I always have to relight every time I hit it and with a blunt I like to drive and smoke and never have to relight it.

I think a 1/4 every 3days of regular might be like me smoking a 1/4 of good shit in a week. I used to smoke blunts all the time and I'm good at rolling cigarret like blunts but I'm trying to take care of the lungs after many years of smoking cigarrets and the smell goes everywhere. Every now and then when I go visit my home town in the caribean Ill smoke a blunt. it's been like 2 years since my last blunt, I prefer blunts over paper though. No relighting is a good thing for sure.

Checked this morning and the ppms were up by 70 that tells me they are drinking a lot of water. The rez is about 2gal low only two days after I added water. Put a new fan in there blowing right on top of the screen and another one on top blowing air around. That dropped the RH down to 52% from like 65% earlier that day. Rez is bearly reaching 69f with a PH of 5.6. The temp inside the tent is 74F. Pruned some fan leaves from the smalest plant but not to much because some colas weren't geting any light.
Other than that not much going on other than keeping both eyes open looking for signs of sex.

mel you might want to drop those nutes a little, im working on a problem right now on same. our set up is running almost identical, and in 2nd week i got a problem. clawing leaves, and its getting worse. doing changes to correct but caused by too high nutes i guess, we will see in next few days.

thanks for the advise 4tatude but actualy I did that last night Added 2.5gal of water and didnt add any nutes because efter seeing the water drop but not the nutes I realized that my solution might have been to hot.

The bushy plant has streched about 2" and has several tops thru the screen but the smallest not so much.
Added 2.5gal of phd water without any nutes because ppms were to high, After seeing water drop so much but not the ppms. Going to keep it at around 1300 for now to see if they start eating more and to prevent a lock out and if I see no change will drop some more.

Took this about 4 days ago. this plant has roots thick as my fingers and so long I can no longer pull them out completely.
