what i dont get, is why they dont just send some special forces in there to assinate gaddafi and his top officials?

instead of just bombing the whole country to heck and back.

2 week trip or months of war followed with years of local unrest (people aint so happy about bombs)

I don't disagree with you, Carne. I just think there are also lots of fundamentalists everywhere in that part of the world. If Gadhafi just opened the doors, a lot of hardware would end up in hands that we don't want it to. That's all I'm saying.

The people of Libya have asked the world leaders for help overthrowing Gaddafi... as Johnny Retro said, many misinformed people on this thread.

This is a good thing, and hopefully this will even better our relationship with the Muslims...

Look at it this way, my fellow Americans... if we were to revolt and ask for assistance overthrowing a corrupt and inhumane government, wouldn't you want countries coming to your aid as well?
