the royal couple have been on-par with A-list celebs in mainstream media coverage in the US the last few days/(weeks?). It seriously is almost as if the population is...*gasp*...being programmed to recognize authority & worship prestige. hell, that's how i take it...the entire royal family has been associated with bloodshed & financial manipulation for centuries, and yet, here the lives of the wealthy controllers are thrown in the face of much of the struggling peasant public 'surfs'...why is this so?

I just don't understand the royal family and why anyone cares two bits about them. They are sat where they are sat because of a war. They have no legal right to be the royal family other than there was a war, and upon victory, they made up lots of new laws making them head honcho, regardless of the countries legal system at the time. If it was a 5000 year old bloodline, that would be one thing, when it's just a bunch of families that have been switched and changed more times than i can count, well i hold no respect, it's just like one drug cartel taking over anothers territory. Last i checked stealing was illegal. Steal a whole country though and nahhhhhhhhh, too much respect for the person that polled that one off
