How To Approach A Dealer?

hey all, I've stopped growing after a few mediocre results so just updating my method to hydroponics and see what happens but in the mean time I want some ganj. A guy across the road does smoke it and heard from the local cop that he did grow and deal but doesn't know if he still does, how do i approach him to ask?

I would get some thing to smoke from else where and then offer to burn with him,then carry on the conversation from there.Got to make the guy feel comfortable first.
