Drug Ennui - I Got It Bad

The definition of Ennui is " Listlessness and dissatisfaction resulting from lack of interest; boredom"

That isn't a very good definition though. Have you ever been very hungry but nothing your partner or friends or yourself can think of sounds good?

Mexican - "naa"
Chinese - "Ah I don't know"
Vietnamese - "no"
Pizza - "had it last week"
Sub - "whos?" - "subway" - "I don't think so"
We could eat at home - "I want to go out"
Howabout a steak? - "That just doesn't sound good"


That's ennui.

I got drug ennui, nothing is appetizing, nothing is of interest, but I'm hungry for something. What should I try?

find a new hobby that will bring some "real" pleasure. pleasure you can look back at and be proud of. with pride comes even greater feelings.

drugs are cool and all, but they aren't "real".

i hear people saying all the time "i dropped acid and it changed my life". yet they are still doing the same exact thing they were doing yesterday.

i think drugs bring out things that are already within you. you just need for find a different release. ;)

Might it be the activities that you are engaging in while usign drugs, or just the drugs themselves. Also you may be growing a tolerance so the fun just isn't quite there anymore. But there is a time to stop for everyone. Psychedelics and certain drugs can truly change a persons life but once they do its time to stop. Try doing something different while tripping, go on a hike.

Try some mind blowing drugs like salvia or dmt. I dont think its possible to be bored of a mind fucked drug like salvia.

Maybe you just had enough of them, they aren`t like magic, just something to do unless your a little addicted ;)... Weed is something else though, just like having a beer but thats gets boring for me when I`m stoning more than I`m doing things too lol Pick up a few new things to do! :)

I hate to admit that you folks are right, I am going to have to look at sobriety for a bit. As far as hobbies, check out my grow journal. I got a fascinating hobby about as rare as any hobby can get - of course a component of it is just waiting but still....

Then again, there is a certain sobriety ennui as well.

Theres only one way to fix lack of interest from smoking weed, and thats. SMOKE MORE WEED. Best advice ever in my opinion. If your stable and dont need to be going anywhere for awhile just get baked 24/7. Worst advice ever realistically, but its been working for me :D

wtf, I want 16 feet of cacti! How long did that monster take to grow??

But if you haven't experience cacti, I deeply. DEEPLY. recommend it. I've never met anyone more satisfied with themselves than a mescaline user. Hell, for like a month after I ingest mescaline I couldnt be any happier..

Oh, I've had cactus before, the ones that never grow more than a few inches from the ground, the strong ones, the nasty tasting ones. I don't have one single 16 footer, I have a handful of smaller ones, take a look in the poppy thread if you want to see a few pictures of them.
