This will be my place for the Snowcap clones I just got.

A nice donation to my lineup, I have no information on this strain thou. I hope its a indica dominant, as I need no more sativas. The grower who gave them to me was no help on giving tips for it, not even sure where he got them from.

But we'll see how this turns out, I have planted three of the clones in a Hydroton / rockwool mix, and the fourth clone got shafted and left in the transport container with some rockwool to grow into. It will get xplanted later when I get more pots.

They also just got a light feeding, still waiting for them to overcome the stress and to start growing, have em under some CFL's now, soon the 400w MH will be running.

Its working out pretty good too, because these were unexpected, So it wont be involved with my perpetual plans. I can veg them as long as I want, So I plan on having some trees!

Looking good. I love Snowcap. You most likely have "Snowcap", as opposed to the rare "Snocap".

Snow Cap:

The genetics are almost 100% Indica.
The genetics were from holland then developed further over a two year period up north in the humbolt area. The indica one IS from seeds from holland, and is an indica dominant strain.

Humboldt Snow AKA SnowBud has also been known as SnowCap. It is rumored to be a cross between two different Afghan strains.

You're in store for a plump 8-weeker.

Hey I've been kinda winging it, before I had used tons of rockwool, but I had to lower my watering down from 4x a day to 2x a day. They were not liking it and were droopy most the day.

Now I use about a 50/50 mix, measuring the rockwool dry thou. I am still watering 2x a day, but thinking of doing 3x a day and thinking it would be a perfect setup. Do you have any expert or professional input on this, like I said I've been winging it and trying to make something work.

I hate top feeding as I get algae, it only last for the pre-veg stage as I wait for roots to develop before running pumps to bottom feed, you got a simple solution to this?

You're obviously doing a soil-less mix of some sort. Have you looked in to Coco? I'm pretty sure Hydroton alone will do the trick, provided you bury the rapid-roother/rockwool cube. As far as algea, run a drain-to-waste using a small pump and some 1/4 inch tubing. Connect drippers to the end and feed them from your reservoir on a timer as often as you need. Running a drain to waste, means you're draining the solution as it passes through your medium and getting rid of it. Every feed is a fresh batch. While doing this, you dial the PPM way down and stretch your nutes. In a D2W, it is ideal to run 1/4 strength. Just a thought, but it pretty much destroys any chance of algea/slime, considering that you can flush and remove any build-up, and every feeding is a from a fresh source.

Id just cut some plastic holes the size of your pots , cut a slit in em so you can slip over the rockwool. Less light penetration, less algea

dssmoke1, I know what your saying but that just isnt probable. I will be changing all my systems up. Why? Why whould i waste all that mroe money on new systems when i already have two flood tables that i use, Just all I am saying is i need to top feed for the first few weeks as the water does not flood to the roots til later in veg, Now does anyone know of a product that I can spray with that will prevent algae growth , something that wont bother the rez or the plants?

and a few word update on these plants, I fed with a mild veg feeding lastnight and I am 100% sure they all grew somewhat! Hoping today they show a bit more and I can be sure that they are growing so I can finally get my shit together and start this hay ride.

They are taking off! Going to get these dug into there new system tomorrow, letting the water sit over night.
They started to grow and yellow out, So they took a feeding and are going to start veg.
