I just had a question about germinating seeds. I bought a seed off of attitude, and got the free dinafem blue widow with it. When I got the seeds the blue widow was a bigger seed and it had dark spots on it and looked healthy. The other seed was quite small. When I germed them I soaked them both in a cup of distilled water (room temp) for about 12 hours, then I soaked the paper towels in distilled water and squeezed the excess water out and I put the seeds between the paper towels. The blue widow seed sprouted rapidly and I had it in soil in 48 hours (I could have planted it in 36 hours because the root was already an inch and a half), however the other seed (early widow feminized) took a week to begin to sprout and the root dried up almost instantly after sprouting from the seed and it died.
A week ago I got a seed from a buddy of mine and it looked to be mature and healthy (black spots, kind of small but reasonable). This seed I've gone the same exact process and I have not been able to get it to sprout after a week of germination. I keep the towels moist and it's in a warm dark place.
I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong, is it just bad seeds, or is it common to not have seeds germinate?
