your colors are nice, but id work on shaping, you should be able to do a case of 50, and have sets of 5 that are identical, and most should have the same mouthpiece, carb, bowl placement etc.. just attention to small details. when i started all of my is/o pipes were double flares because it was the only way i could get the mouthpiece worked all the way in.. needless to say it caused me to have really nice cases from the start. i also try to do 30 pipe production days once or twice a week, where ill just slam out productions from a case of points. the exercise there is 60-100 pipes that are identical shapes, just different colors. it makes it easier for the shops to take it off your hands if they know exactly what to expect. they often will just take the whole case without even seeing it all rather than pick and browse through your wares..
Thanks, that's my primary focus right now. I'm not terribly happy with tiny inconsistencies here and there. The mouthpiece has always been my sore spot. I've been using tweezers and making horizontal wide mouthpieces lately, they *really* feel nice in my mouth. I probably wont work too much on a case of 50 pipes though, that's production work. ;) I found for a while that after a coil pot just to put the blowtube on the opposite end and remove the initial blowtube and then its easy to chop that clean. Most of the mouthpiece trouble came from honeycombs and not melting enough down towards the weld to the blowtube too. Left them a little goofy looking after the pipe was pulled to shape.

I really should work more, its still just a hobby though and for fun, thats why progression in my eyes is a little slow..........

ill make oil dishes for 20
Ya, that's a fair wholesale price unless its good sized and fully worked then a few bucks more. Most dishes are sooooooo small in size I'm surprised someone as a customer even buys it.

However speaking of production I cant seem to keep the BHO Tubes in stock, every time I make a half dozen of them they are gone in a day. I've been making them in 25mm, 32mm, 38mm, 44mm and 50mm tube, various lengths (12-24" long) and the stores love them. They'll hold anywhere from a quarter ounce all the way to a pound for the 50mm tube. For the 50mm you'd have to have 15 cans of butane ready for it all at once. Have fun with that, right? :) :)

because in numex the only way to make any money is to sell by the case, and no one here wants to pay more than 12$ per piece. the shops here dont buy anything heady, and if you ask more than 25 for anything they just shoot you down. our market here is horrible and i have to depend on age to secure any decent accounts.

90% of the shops are owned by arabs selling asian glass. and the rest of the shops here sell mostly asian glass then they want to pay import prices.

There's soooooooo many ways to make these. The style I like is basically a double male slide that has a dome over a glass nail. Its the easiest to get the most consistent hits and you can milk it juuuuuust right to get the oil not the air so much. I'll post some up soon as I make them. My next big project is going to be tabletop size bubblers with some of the reversal work in them, and I want them ALL to have a matching oil dish, dome/slide and herb slide plus a nail or two.

i would never sell anything to a shop for less then $17.50.

anything less and i don't even turn on my lights. they sell my slides and spoons for 35 so i get half that.

A bubbler with slides? Or a bong?

Either way, sounds awesome. How much u thinkin for the set?
Oh I have no idea yet. We'll see how long it takes to make and how it looks when its done too.... I try to keep my prices here the same as I'd sell it wholesale to the smoke shop lady for.............

It probably costs you that much in glass, oxygen and equipment costs unless you make a thousand, which if you do, you still cant buy a pound of great weed after expenses! My smoke shop pays $3 for broken pipes, $5 for really ugly ones, and about $20-$30 for every piece I bring them thats simple............. I dont really even make the simple spoons much anymore, always add some bling to it. The bling adds more money per piece than you sell your entire pipe for, and the bling is something simple like an extended carb, a few dots on the side, etc.......

There's a buddy locally who makes these chillums which is just a dry straight bat really, ugly as piss, takes not even 2" of a stringer of color to make em and he gets $5 for those each............. Toss up a link to some of your work I gotta see what a $5 honeycomb looks like!!! :)

...in fact the two Martini slides (1 green 1 blue) sold to the smoke store lady for $30 each...... She has em on the shelf at $75 now, $60 is what she'd accept and sell them for each............. I could do two of those instead of a honeycomb spoon in the same time :)
