Hobgoblit: why not ask the guys in the lab? If you work there they'll likely be able to tell you. Just don't tell them what you want to grow. Tell them you want to grow culinary herbs hydroponically in an Aerogarden. Worked for me. They told me to use bottled water. I'll make a trip up to see a buddy of mine, and see if he can get one of the girls in the lab to look at the printout. I'm very sure it didn't leave the plant this way, alot is picked up along the trip to my house.Hobgoblit: why not ask the guys in the lab? If you work there they'll likely be able to tell you. If you use tap water yes let it sit out for 24 hours so the chlorine can evaporate.
My guess is this would be a by-product of the disinfection process, much like Trihalomethanes (THMs)Why is there chloroform in your water? I'm doing some reading but it seems only explanation would be algea in th water :/
Do you mean 350ppm? or EC? Either way, that is almost perfect "starting" water in my books., just the right amount of hardness. I know that DNF nutes uses 300ppm base in all its feed charts. We use chlorine injection. Dangerous, but effective. TDS from tap is at 035.
