i bought a RANGER bass boat

Someone caught a 125lbs in my area in the last week,,,I used to like catfishing and still do,,,But now I learned new receipe's for crappy and pan fish to eat.
I don't like fried catfish,,,too fishy for me,,,I like a Good Fish Fry tho'...

i'm in it simply for the battle of it all. i'm an all around "catch and release" kinda guy.

my wife just went to the grocery store. she's gonna pick me up a box of gordon's butterfly shrimp and a porterhouse steak. beats have to clean up fish guts any day.

i do want to get into some pan fishing though. my wife and son would love it. we have a lot of crappie up here.

care to share it or is it a secret recipe?
i never fished for crappie but plan to cause some old black gentlemen showed me a good spot

i pulled my plugs and they did look fouled. i changed them all out after the first day and it fires right up in the driveway. still won't idle on the water though.

it almost seems like a fuel pressure issue. it fires right up and idles, but slowly peters off until it dies. then it won't start again.

hows the fuel filter? maybe something got stir up outta the tank with all your recent use. might have plugged the filter. or part of it.

i have a chrysler 125 and its on the port side bottom of block, the fuel line going to it makes it obvious. mine just threads off and voila'. there is a screen under the cover. if its not plugged, then one more thing checked of the list. just trying to rule out the simple ones.

cleaned it when i changed the plugs.

do you run the fuel out of it every time you use it? should i be shutting my valve off and running the gas out of the motor? i do on my 15 hp simply because i don't want fuel all over the bed of my truck. this motor stays on the boat, but i do tilt it back.

What you use for crappie? We use minnows in my lake.

always good to run all gas out of it as with all yard equipment
so it doesnt gum it up an add fuel stabilizer also

u use minnows
Jigs like this work well especially with a minnow attached.

Ive had success casting with these spoons in the summer:

u eat them ......
I don't, I usually catch and release except for bass on occasion. I let that pike I caught in the pics i posted earlier along with 5 of the smallest bass(all legal) go. I like my bass cut up like nuggets with breading and fried in butter. Good stuff.

rooster tails they hit them as soon as they hit the water
u caught 20 bass on every other cast
I have a secret weapon and not willing to give it up. lol I'll give hints. We call it the Danger fish because the first time me and my buddies seen it in the water we said it was dangerous and the first time I used it on my small lake I caught 3 bass before my buddy stringed his pole up. One 4 pounder and a couple 15-16 inchers. I'll say the winner of the the 2011 Bassmasters All-Star challenge used it in the finals on the last day to win. Spinnerbaits(we call them bushwhackers), crankbaits, rubbers, rapalas are all good for bass.
