A timer with a remote control. Fancy
Its really nice to have. ATM I am using on my 45w CFL for lighting my room up. I can control up to 4 timers with it so I can turn 1 of the 4 off or all of them at once or I can turn 1 on or how ever many that I want or all of them on.

Hey all. So today I was looking at the 3 BC Mango seeds that I planted on the 17th and I saw that 1 of the seeds out of 3 looked like it had 2 sprouts coming from it so I gently pulled them out of the dirt and took the inside seed membrane or what ever its called off of them to discover that the 2 taproots that I saw when I was germinating the seeds (I thought that it was some kind of genetic thing) was just for 1 plant turned out to be 2 of them. So needless to say I'm very intrigued to see what happens to those 2 seedlings now and if they are both brother and brother, sister and sister , brother and sister , hermi and sister , hermi and brother or hermi and hermi. I will be labeling them once I plant the seeds but as for the 2 that were in the same seed I will be labeling them that they are from the same seed.

Nice, just be careful with the twins, if you leave them together they're gonna want more of everything (water/nutes/pot size) than all the others.

Nop I took them apart because They have their own roots and leafs so I want them to be in their own pots.

Well today I went into town to get some stuff for cloning and to calibrate my PH meter. I found out that when I calibrate it with my tap water that its only 0.4 to 0.5 off from the 7.0 PH calibration meter.

While I was in town I came across this and I find it hard to find season 7 around here so I had to buy it when I saw it.

Thanks for the input but I already tried cloning in soil but it didn't work so I thought I'd try Gel-2-Root out to see if they work.

I still have other plans for trying to clone but if this stuff works for me then I can do 2 to 4 clones per cell.

Sure way of success: get an EZCloner........ if you got the monies.....or a cheaper solution look up stealth hydro they make there own custom cloner, just a big mister of sorts and it works really well too.

Hopefully one of the methods will work out for ya, I'd recommend trying a few cheap DIY approaches before buying any units though, those things are far too expensive and once you've got the hang of it cloning is easy. It's usually just the first couple times trying it that people seem to run into issues.

Well I think it might be from me using a 70w MH on the plants then using a 13w CFL or a 3.5w LED light on the clones. I might go with aero setup when I get the hang of cloning and use the aero garden for flowering.

Not sure, maybe try using a slightly larger CFL or both of those small lights together for the clone? I use 23w CFLs for rooting clones and it works really well for me.

It shouldn't be, how far above the cutting was it? I was actually thinking it may not have been enough on its own.
It was maybe 1 foot away from the top of it maybe 1 and a half feet. the first cutting wilted and never made it back but I used the 3.5w LED and the 2nd cutting came back from its wilt.

That might've been the problem man, CFLs gotta be a lot closer than that especially with the little ones. Try one with the bulb around 4" away and it should help.

No this bulb is to strong trust me. It can almost light up my room like my 45w CFL and the dome is a tall top so can't get the bulb any closer and the light would melt the plastic dome. There's a old member on here that used 1 13w CFL for 2 domes that was farther away from the top of the domes.

Hey all. Today is a update time and well this time there are pics. Now I know the plants under CFL stretched but that's ok because I wasn't use to using the 70w MH. I put them under my 45w CFL and I'm gonna try taking 1 clone in the next day or 2 and see how they work this time so hopefully they will work this time. As for the plant in hydro I never understood as to why that one didn't stretch this whole time even though the others did and they had less light space between the tops and the light. Also I moved my plants from the top of my computer desk to the area where the grow box will be.

Those girls are looking a bit leggy. I reckon your going to have to tie them. Look real healthy though. Great work
Yea its because its been a trial and error thing with learning how to use the MH light with the whole distance thing between the tops and the bulb. I'm still curious as to why the one in the DWC system didn't stretch like the rest of them did. Well as of right now they don't need to be tied down but I have been thinking about that having to be done. If I can get the hang of taking clones I'll just clone them to make 3 or 4 plants then take the stretched ones down.
