no they can't. the courts have already said that pictures of pot plants isn't the same as pot plants.

i can have 1,000,000 pictures of pot plants in my computer. they aren't illegal.

until somebody writes a law that says: pictures of pot plants are illegal. then i'm safe. lol FAIL
no pictures of plants arent illegal but they still serve as proof of a crime, especially if from the pictures you can extract the same room dimensions and angles as the room they caught you growing in. you see pictures of dead bodies isnt a crime, pictures of dead bodies on your floor, or in your car that can be linked back to you are evidence of crime,

wow.

you are comparing murder, a capital crime in most every state,

to growing...

tin foil hats everybody, we're having a party!!!!!!!!

you have to understand how the laws about growing/possesion work.

why do you think they try to bust in the door before they get to flush the drugs down the toilet??

technically they already have a warrant putting drugs in the house....

think about it einstein....

what about evidence dont you understand? if you have pictures on you computer of you commiting a crime and they police get ahold of those pictures they can use them against you. this is not a matter of what crime it is simply a question of whether a photograph is proof of a crime, and it is.

warrant is not proof of drugs in a house, warrant is a legal document allowing the police to come check out a lead which was solid enough for a judge to give the ok that yes that building probably has drugs in it go ahead and look. you see a warrant is meaningless unless they serve the warrant and find what they thought they would find. namely drugs/ evidence of drug manufacture/use.

WTF dont you get about our legal system?

you wanna hear something to be paranoid about?

the Federal government has my biometrics on file, this means that they have a 3-d representation of myself in a federal database which they can use to identify me if i am caught on camera, they simply capture the characteristics from the video and search against the database in a a similar fashion to checking fingerprints.

a photograph isn't evidence of cultivation

if it was, everybody that has ever posted a picture of a plant on this website would be in jail. you don't have to believe me. that doesn't mean i'm the one who's wrong.

i get our legal system. i've been arrested and never charged. more than once.

i don't have a criminal record b/c i know the legal system.

btw, one of the times i was arrested, my camera had photos of a kilo of coke. guess what happened??

a) they charged me with possession of a kilo of coke

b) they confiscated my camera

?????

you are so paranoid and wrong about our laws it's not even funny.

biometrics technology is still in it's infancy, to be more specific: FACIAL RECOGNITION. 3d representation of myself?? you are GRAVELY over estimating the amount of resources the federal government is allocating to persecute.... lol....

but whatever, you are the genius... lol

you have no idea what going in our world, and you obviously dont understand anything about federal law enforcement which are the people who use biometrics as it is officially called,

"ive been arrested" like thats a qualifier for knowing the legal system, sorry but if you have ten pounds of weed, and a photo journal of your grow op on your computer, that is pretty solid evidence that you grew that weed and where you grew it and how you grew it.

also since there are so many people on this site from so many different places, it does take alot of effort for the feds to track down your grow op just from you IP adress and then try to figure out if that ip address is actually the place where the grow is going on, etc....

but if you tell a bunch of people that you post on RIU under redivider and you post straight from your house, the local sheriff just might hear about it and get some federal assistance in locating your IP adress then check out your bills and bank account and current income sources to see if those 2,000 plants on your grow journal are in your house. DUH. how do you think busts happen snitches and bitches make you a blip on the radar, your internet and financial records provide evidence for a search warrant, the search warrant provides the clear cut proof to charge you, and then your fucked,

your on here telling people to act stupid, well posting shit online is not the best way to stay under the radar, it is a good way to incriminate yourself, and this thread is about educating people on protecting themselves from self incrimination, POSTING ONLINE IS THE SAME AS TELLING FRIENDS WHAT YOUR DOING, JUST BECAUSE THOSE FREIENDS DONT KNOW THE LOCATION OF YOUR PLANTS YOUR STILL BEING A LOUD MOUTH,

oh and heres another one for yuh, a guy went to thailand hired an underage hooker taped the intereaction then cam home and showed it to someone he not only got charged for having childporn but also for going and getting an underage hooker, cause if you read your passport you are still subject to american law regardless what country you are in at the time you commit a crime,

of course small grows arent a priority the shear time effort and resources involved in these things is ridiculous, so no 10 plants in a closet isnt drawing any attention, but if you look what people are getting charged with its usually 100+ plants and conspiracy to grow even more, how do they bust people on conspiracy to grow 1000+? through your computers those empty pots you just havent filled yet.

just lay off the alex jones brah.

if 'biometrics' were really as advanced as you claim they are,

why did the CIA resort to good ol' fashioned DNA comparitive analysis to identify osama bin laden???

technology that's been around for almost 20 years??

lol

lay off it mang....

because unlike DNA people like osama bin laden or more specifically sadam hussein are known for having look alike body doubles,

United States
Starting in 2005, US passports with facial (image-based) biometric data were scheduled to be produced. Privacy activists in many countries have criticized the technology's use for the potential harm to civil liberties, privacy, and the risk of identity theft. Currently, there is some apprehension in the United States (and the European Union) that the information can be "skimmed" and identify people's citizenship remotely for criminal intent, such as kidnapping.[citation needed]
The US Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card, is an ID card issued to all US Service personnel and contractors on US Military sites. This card contains biometric data and digitized photographs. It also has laser-etched photographs and holograms to add security and reduce the risk of falsification. There have been over 10 million of these cards issued.[citation needed]
According to Jim Wayman, director of the National Biometric Test Center at San Jose State University, Walt Disney World is the nation's largest single commercial application of biometrics.[35] However, the US-VISIT program will very soon surpass Walt Disney World for biometrics deployment.
The United States (US) and European Union (EU) are proposing new methods for border crossing procedures utilizing biometrics. Employing biometrically enabled travel documents will increase security and expedite travel for legitimate travelers.[citation needed]
NEXUS is a joint Canada-United States program operated by the Canada Border Services Agency and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. It is designed to expedite travel cross the US-Canada border and makes use of biometric authentication technology, specifically "iris recognition biometric technology".[16] It permits pre-approved members of the program to use self-serve kiosks at airports, reserved lanes at land crossings, or by phoning border officials when entering by water.

The original PATRIOT was set to expire, and on the date the sunset clause came up, they enacted PATRIOT2. That was set to expire, and got re-enacted twice now. It's here and it's here to stay, expanding the police powers to shitcan the constitution.

guys also theres something when you upload pics you need to watch out, some mobiles like mine registers the GPS coordinate on your picture so make sure you re edit or remove them...
Last thing you need is getting pin pointed to the exact location of your buds...

PARANOOIIIIDDDDD

you have to be suspected of TERRORISM for the patriot act to come into play.

you guys seem to think everything's an episode of law and order, where the police seep out every last loophole and the law & evidence always seems to just fall into their lap and they'll follow through... well, no.

lol

if you don't tell anybody about your grow, nobody physically sees your grow, and you don't sell any pot...

then that marijuana is confined to your protected space and only you going up to a cop and confessing will get you caught.
You fell for their propaganda technique! The truth is they aren't violating our rights to protect us from terrorists. They are violating our rights to protect themselves. Much the same way the Nazis did this to spy on citizens critical or outspoken against the regime. It's a power grab move and if you are paying attention they are adjusting their aim from Muslim extremist terrorism. To white middle class american (lone wolf) terrorism. The Nazis and Soviets used these tactics. The gov't has done a great job at making it subliminal and subtle. Watch the new DOHS videos regarding terrorism. The terrorist is now portrayed as an average american. Compared to the years after 9/11 where it was aimed at Arab's to further the war on terror agenda or as I like to call it the Corporate Imperialism agenda.

I find that to be all to true Clouds ,they are indeed adjusting there aim.Especially with the likes of events that happend in Norway recently, and not to mention assassination attempts on political figures in the past within U.S,the Gov. feels the need for constant control over the people,"Big Brother"has his stink eye on the people.
