I think it is an early/late issue. I honestly dont think its picking too early that causes a problem. I know, almost certainly, that if you pick with 5-10% amber trichs your bud will be more potent than picking any later. You may get fater buds but the quality starts to degrade, slowly at first, but if you pick at 50% amber trichs, you wasted 3-4 months of your life. I have also been in a situation where I pick some early and leave others, same strains, and the early ones I like better. Also, if you are growing PURE indica then you can chop at 60 days but if your have a hybrid you almost for sure have to go closer to 70 days or more. The strains I am growing are going to need around 9-10 weeks 63-70 days or more! This is depending on the Trichs. People say to get a microscope, that is a good suggestion. The color of the trichs, however, can be seen quite easily with the naked eye if you are familiar with the strain. After around my third or fourth year I could easily tell where my trichs were just by spending time with my plants. Im not making any staggering claims on yield or quality BUT I have always gotten high from my own supply and it has almost always been better then anything I have bought. I LIVE IN CALI fyi. all my successful grows have been outdoor as well but I think you are making it way to difficult and I personally find it hard to believe that youve grown for so long and cant produce good weed. bullshit post
