Bullshit,,,,,
care to back that up? i thnk the state attorney general asking the federal government if it was alright for washington to have dispensaries and a state organized registry etc... and the federal government said no we will prosecute those state employees for federal drug charges, and christina gregoire said oh ok then im gonna veto this this and this so the state emloyees dont have any responsibility, then the feds cam into washington and started pressuring land owners to evict grow houses and dispensaries and mmj patients. but then you might know this stuff living under a rock and all

Fuck man, that red text is some testy looking shit. I didn't realize the exemption was for a limited amount of time. It's still fucked up. That was just an example off the top of my head. I'll give you another: Title insurance. You're required to purchase it in almost every state when you buy a house. All they do is make sure that the title is legit and it's not actually owned by someone else. This may have been a genuine concern in the 50's when record keeping was on paper in a file somewhere, but today, it's basically a scam. I read a story where someone was refinancing their house and they were required to purchase it a second time. That is one fucked up unnecessary regulation that only exists because a bunch of state politicians were bought off. Those are the types of regulations that I don't mind seeing go away. But when I purchase food, I prefer it to be free of contaminants and disease and when I breathe air, I prefer it not to be filled with some toxic chemical. Therefore, I am against ending all regulation.
Ever Bought a house? Yes you need to Buy title insurance. The Bank Requires it becuase they dont want to give you a loan on a house someone else can claim. Yeah its fucked up. But If you ever bought a house the closing papers weigh in to about 15 lbs of paper. it aint cheap and it aint easy

Hey man. I've seen "Erin Brockovich". I know that shit isn't easy to win. Do you really feel like you're taking a shit on someone's freedom when you tell them not to dump concentrated toxic chemicals in rivers and streams?
in mason county we shut down a biomass project that had made it past all local licensing we just said you know what uh uh and they are no longer putting that biomass plant in my county, so use the real world for sources, not a dramatization

and if you ever read those closing papers you would see that half that jargon is nothing but federal regulation of the market.

Well Gee wiz
Seems like the other states dont have a hair up their azz in regards to federal law

“Her concerns are really unfounded … and I think that her timing is really unfortunate,”says Alison Holcomb, the drug policy director with the ACLU of Washington. “Sen. Jeanne Kohl-Welles [the primary sponsor of the bill] and many legislators and agency directors …have been meeting and talking about this bill since, literally, last spring.”
Scrambling to save the bill, ACLU attorney Shankar Narayan sent a letter to senators on Sunday, hoping to buttress their confidence in supporting it.
In it, he argued that six states have “clear dispensary laws” and that the “federal government has never prosecuted anyone — whether or not a state employee — who complies with state laws that license and regulate marijuana.”

yeah but is it within the federal governments jurisdiction to police how when and where we treat our refuse or is it the job of the state to take care of those issues. hmmm

Yes, I've bought a house. Do you know how many times it's happened where a credible claim actually challenged a title? I don't either, but it's some ridiculously low number like one in the last fifty years. If you really give a shit, the book "Free Lunch" has an excellent chapter detailing just how corrupt title insurers really are and how completely unnecessary they are. Ninety cents out of every dollar you spend on title insurance goes to pay for a bribe. I'm not pulling that number out of my ass, in my state, they got busted colluding with real estate companies.

Mortgage "brokers" are even worse. We had one try to make us take a loan 13% ARM
Got a loan thru a bank for less than 6% 6 years ago

I don't follow. You want me to use sources? What am I writing a fucking term paper here? I didn't think I needed a credible source to show that class action suits against corporations are long expensive pains in the ass. Fine, look at the real Erin Brockovich story. That was a pain in the ass and she was less hot. Happy?

6 years ago. Ouch. Was that pre-bubble? Mine was ten years ago which was just before real estate took off here. At the peak, my house had doubled in value. I guess that should have clued me in that something majorly fucked up was going on. Now the value is back to where it was when I bought it. I don't care. I bought the place to live in, not as an investment.
