Hey bro, just found a info booklet i have from Canna. Even those guys say to flush in last week at least. If it was a myth they would say to keep using nutrients in that week and they would make more money cause people would have to buy nutrients sooner... It aint a conspiracy lol its what ya do.

I'll buy that for hydro, Ive seen many PRO non-flushed soil grows though. Any input on CFM rate? I cant setup my 600w cooltube without a centrifugal fan =( (otherwise the temps will crack the glass).

EC is at .38-.4
Ph is between 5.2-5.9 (mixed 2 3gallon mixes of 5.1PH and 5.5 PH water... I assumed it'd jump a little again so I lowered the PH)

Light is 1-3 inches away from plants. Ive got some brown spots in the middle of some leaves on 2 plants. Im assuming thats super burn or some PH issue =P Which will hopefully be fixed with my flush.

Ive got algae slime built up on my tubes going to the net pots though, should I just wipe that off with a paper towel? I dont see any algae on the side of the reservoir or anything.

Posting pics within the next day, GF over so might get distracted.

Ph meter has to be wrong. 5.2 to 6.5 ph in less than twelve hours? My ph sticks/papers are saying its like 5.0-5.5 though. Ill need to find a hydro shop or order some ph buffer and ph solution to calibrate it! Sheeeeeesh. Get what you pay for!

Lol, i was only ever talking about hydro mate. How do you flush soil? lol xD.In hydro you flush to get rid of the build up of salts... Never mentioned flushing soil... Anyway, thats good you got ya EC levels down. Are plants looking any better?

Ec seems fine its just the ph and water temp thats killing me. They look beautiful lol! First time ive ever seen marijane grow. None of them bend from stretch anymore! Im excited.

They are getting better I suppose. Posting pics in another tab as I type xD! Any help/advice with CFM fan for cooltube? Its the last piece to the puzzle... besides carbon filter which will be added in later veg weeks.

A) What are the brown spots?
B) CFM needed to keep a smaller closet cool with 600w light?
C) Im currently using powder nutes from Stealth Hydro. Mixing random amounts of micro and grow nutes (60% grow, 40% micro). What nutes supply everything needed, just basic hopefully/What nutes do you use? I know MiracleGrow bought Jack's Classic and I heard jack's classic was the goods. MiracleGrow as good?

I have only ever used the liquid nutrients. They come in part A and part B which you mix equal parts of. I don't recommend any brands cause i prob get totally different brands than you as I live in Aus. Oh and I don't like the idea of using miracle grow... Just buy the cheapest 2 part hydro nutes you can get. And get some H2o2... Cant really see any brown spots. I have no idea about CFM rate lol i just have a ducted 100mm computer fan venting through the top of cupboard. Seems to work. Man I wouldnt be wasting money on carbon filters or shit like that unless your going big.

6 plants in flower will stink, end of storyyyy. =/ carbon filter is like 100$ or like 15$ DIY lol. Might as well play it save.

Bumpppp; where are all the commentaters? I have to be doing something wrong.
Ill need to clean out my reservoir.. I can see slime building up on the tubes from my water pump and what looks like little pieces of dead skin/fat floating in my water when I take ppm/ph samples. It also smells like a fish tank, is this normal?

No that's not normal bro... Ive said it before and I'll say it again: get some H2o2 (hydrogen peroxide). It further oxygenates the water and sanitizes it so no shit grows in it.

Not sure. I buy mine from a hydro shop. It says its 50%. Just go to hydro shop! You can get yourself some descent nutes too.

I do plan on venting the six hindred watt. Didnt know what cfm would keep it from giving off enough heat to heat a closet. Sorry typing on itouch >< lol
