Al ot of times the local hydro shop is out of Fox Farms soil, I picked up mine at Capital Nursery. Also got a cheap plastic sprayer, the kind that you pump for pressure and then just use the trigger. Beats the shit out of using a a little pray bottle and wearing out the fingers! They've got al ot of good stuff there

Mine never purpled up. :( I ended up pulling it about a week early because of rain, caterpillars, and top heavy buds. Still was my largest yielding plant.

ABM, you keep your closet mostly shut? I dried mine last year in a closet like that, left the door ajar and had the overhead fan running, the dried too quickly, crispy in 3 days

Nice !! I was worried that mine won't fattened up but I see that they will ..holy shit that's a huge bud lol here's mine
Yeah they will fatten up almost all the way to the end. :) You will be very happy with your yield I think. :)

I have a hole in the ceiling and just ran a fan in the attic pulling air out of the closet. The guy that lived here before me grew in that closet. :)

Same here. Getting all resinous too. I expect to harvest at least one or 2 in the next 4-6 weeks. Rest may be late October by the looks of it.

Far as closet drying, do you think I'm ok hanging in a closet, and just opening up the door several times a day to refresh the air? I really fucked up last year, the outside was all crispy, I panicked and threw them into jars. Opened up daily for weeks, and they ended up brown and smelling/tasting like dirt.....although they were decent quality buzz-wise

Looking good! Man I hope that I can pull something in the next couple weeks and then in Oct as well. :)

Yeah you should be alright doing it that way. :) I am going to have to figure out a way to dry this season as the amount that I have isn't going to be done in the 2 week span that I had last season and my daughter is now in that room.

Do you have a spare bathroom or be real nice and ask the wife to let you dry in her bath room. Just a thought or go to Ikea and buy the mesh laundry baskets and dry in them like ten bucks a piece. Good Luck dirrtyd

I have a hanging drying rack that velcros on the top and is about 8 ft tall. I am just going to need more than that. No room in the bathroom. :( If the weather is mild enough I was thinking about some uhaul wardrobe boxes under my covered patio. Still gotta get that all sorted out. I have just never dealt with this amount before so it's going to be interesting on the drying and curing.

Hey ABM-
Hmmmm I'm not a "foliar feeding" guy, but have seen and herd of good results. My 2cents on this..... I WOULD NOT foliar feed at this time. Your girls are full on bloom, and to "wetten up" (is that a word?) the buds I think invites more trouble then benefits at this time in the grow. I think foliar feeding is good, but only up to a certain point in a plants life. I think your just past that point. Get that Maxsea bloom and mix at 1 tbs a gallon and you'll be golden.
Just my 2cents...

well i am a "foliar feeding" guy so i say dont be scurred and spray that shit!!! im sorry tmb and djj but i have to respectfully disagree with u on this one, even tho its hard when i look at ur ops. i foliar feed all the way up to my last feeding which is about a week before i plan on harvesting and i havent had any problems. i just make sure i dont drench them. i also do it in the morning so the sun can dry the buds out. maybe give em a little shake a hour or so after feeding. ed rosenthal says that 80% of a plants cell receptors that ingest and process nutrients are on the leaves, the undersides to be exact, and that only 20% are on the root tips. so i say foliar feed until they are covered pretty good in the solution then pour whatever u got left in the sprayer over the roots. thats just my 2 cents and i know a lot of people wont agree, ive noticed the old school growers in peticular dont agree with me on this, but i swear by foliar feeding.

Interesting....
I'm glad someone chimed in on this issue who foliar feeds up to the last days. What do you foliar feed with?
I just feel that the risk out weighs the reward, especially at this stage in the game. I guess the thing to do is foliar feed a couple branches on a plant, and leave the rest alone, feeding just by the roots, and see what happens to those branches.
Another thing, don't your medicine taste like fertilizers foliar feeding that late? Can't be healthy medicating on buds sprayed with fertilizers.

I respect your growing technique, and will investigate your thread to check out your grow, but mother nature feeds through the root system, and so will I..... not nice to mess with mother nature!....lol

Stay Safe...

i foliar feed with spray-n-grow (micronutrient complex) and bills perfect fertilizer 6-11-5 with coco wet for my wetting agent. all liquid organic nutes, no chemicals in my grow period. and no my buds never tasted like fish, which is what bills perfect has a lot of. and i feed up until about a week before i PLAN on pulling them, but i usually end up letting them go another 4-7 days longer than when i plan. they say when u think theyre done theyre probably not so i live by that and give em a couple extra days.

I have created mold inside buds by spraying to heavy/late. I'm with treeman it's a risk/reward issue. To me it's not worth the risk, but my experience is mostly greenhouse/indoors so maybe straight outside is different. But then I have never been a foliar feeder. Indoors it can leed to problems

Good luck
