wow keeps getting nicer, i re-read the entire journal and its too bad that you couldnt get 3-4 plants with big yields. May i ask how much you yielded (in grams or oz's, if you have no scale maybe an approx amount) from the easy riders? they turned out verryy frosty whats the smoke like or how do you like it? i want to grow some autoflower'ers soon and i have some recommendations for you for next year/next grows, theres a strain now called auto critical mass, it yields alot ive seen a guy who got 6-8oz off 1 plant! and its an auto strain which finishes in 70-75 days, it also is very fruity and/or citrusy and i heard it was amazing to smoke and easy to grow, outdoors 2 of those could do soo well, the other strain is called Maxi Gom its genetics are: auto critical mass x auto ak47, which results in a superrr potent amazing tasting highhh yielding autoflowering strain, this too finishes in 70-75 days, i cant wait to see how the super cali haze turns out its looking so good man

ps: NOT a boring journal its amazing i wish i could grow what you did hahaha only a matter of time
i love autoflowering strains if you have any questions or inquiries let me know

Hey rathacker, thanks for the kind words. I think I've seen a journal or two on here where people grew the auto critical mass. And yep, they had MUCH bigger yields. I've grown several Easyryders now, with varying yields. Honestly, I'm not sure how much - maybe 1/4 ounce to 1/2 an ounce? The thing about auto's is that they are constantly improving. Every time I order seeds, I find out about a better strain shortly thereafter.

I suppose I don't need huge yields to satisfy my smoking needs, but it makes sense to grow strains that produce more if I'm going to be doing it.

I've noticed that this super cali haze has virtually no smell, unless you put your nose up to it. That comes in handy if you're trying to be stealthy on your balcony. Thanks for the tips with those strains. I'll do a little research on them. Cheers.

Hey Pablo,

just poppin' back on here to check your girls out! That Super Cali looks beautiful man! Good to know it doesn't really smell - keep up the good work
I recently picked up a set of Kens GDP clones and Sweet Tooth clones. I've got them under the LEDs vegging now, but have a total of 2000 watts hps to throw them under as soon as the time is right. I'm thinking I might make a half-assed journal just for the hell of it - spread some more grow love to the net.
Cheers :leaf:

Hey King, thanks! Good to see you're around and growing. I'll follow your progress as usual.

Day 133 for the Super Cali Haze. Not much going on. Still throwing out some fresh pistils, but most of them are browning up. This has to be close to harvest.

Hey Pablo this looks really good, youll have a nice harvest soon!
I was actually looking for some balcony grow info, but found your journal instead. And I'm surprised u get buds like these.

I had a indoor closet grow going. Before the 12/12 switch I realized that I didnt have enough space, so I removed two plants (AK48 and put them on my balcony.
So they've been there since May, and now I noticed they started flowering!
As I was focused on my indoor grow, I basically had no plans for the two plants outside.
I just kept watering them, no nutes, and super cropped them too keep em low.

Since they appear to be doing good, I want them to finish... but how?
I dont wanna bring them in, as i'm about to start my next closet grow with different strains.

I dont have any outdoor experience, so i'm wondering will they flower well on the balcony? Do I have to cover during night? I live on a quiet street. There might be cars passing by but the lights wont hit directly on the plants.

Hi greenops, thanks! I've also grown photoperiod plants the last 2 seasons on my balcony. Last year was a Kandy Kush, that I topped and did some serious LST'ing to control the height. That worked perfect.

If your plants started flowering, I see no reason why they won't finish and give you a harvest. The sun does all the work. And now that they're flowering, you may as well start with some flowering nutes. There shouldn't be any need to cover them at night, despite the occasional headlights. Last year I tented my plants in the evening to stop butterflies from laying eggs. It worked. Not sure if you have issues with budworms where you're at, but if so, you should also be spraying with BT. Neem oil is also good to spray every week or so to prevent bugs.

Best of luck!

Thanks Pablo, good man.
Your super cali haze looks grand my friend, as I stated before, however I didn't mention how amazing such a plant would be for SOG or another densely placed style of grow -especially since theres very little smell. I look forward to seeing how much that produces. Looks like an easy plant to harvest ;)
:leaf:

Thanks for all the info! I was contemplating to relocate them to a nearby forest. But I dont have a good spot and I know a lot of people go there for a walk. So cool I'll let them finish on my balcony and I will start to give them bloom nutes. Good luck to you too.. tho I can see u dont really need it =)

Day 138. I think I'm going to chop today.

Chopped. Left a few small buds at the bottom of the plant to finish up. The main cola is friggin' heavy. Smells awesome. This is a lot of weed for me. Wasn't really sure how to trim it up given the density/weight. Maybe I should've broken that main cola up to assist in the drying process?

DAMN Pablo that looks great! Nice yield for sure!

I'm gonna have to say that if it's all one big dense nug, dry it like one (rather than breaking it up). But if it's kinda spread out and easy enough to trim to individual nugs, you might as well do that...it'll dry faster. but I'm a fan of keeping the nugs as they are as much as possible.

Good work man, you're gonna spend many-a-night toking that bud.

Thank you King, and thanks for the advice. I'll take a look at it again, but I think that main cola may be difficult to separate. If so, I'll leave it be. Hell, I usually don't even bother to put a fan in the closet because of the size of the buds and the speed in which they dry. I'm gonna put a fan in there tonight (not blowing on the buds). One of those window fans that has the intake and exhaust sides. Just aim it away from the buds and leave it on.

So, I just gradually nuked a bit and smoked it. I'm liking it. Very heady. I had a smallish bowl and I would not want to be out in public right now. Well, I would, but you know what I mean. I would not be able to get the grin off of my face. I think this is going to be some fun shit.

nice bud and i agree i think i would try to dry it whole as much as possible. Slower drying equals better end product and big buds dry slower than small ones.

Thanks for the compliment. Smell can be an issue, it just depends on your situation, how many plants, etc. I've seen a few outdoor Easyryder threads. Feel free to check out my balcony grow from last year, which included Easyryders. Might be some helpful info there for you:

Best of luck with your grow.

well i made it bro looking good
just hope the smell dont get to tempting to people

Pabskies hows that drying going? Should be some smokable nugs by now I'd assume. Whats the report?
I hope things are good man.
