Takes two to tangoAwesomeness....Except for one thing....I'd be much happier if it was a "Occupy Capital Hill" because if it wasn't for our "illustrious" elected officials enacting legislation to allow for the raping of America by Wall Street, it wouldn't be happening. I prefer to "cut to the chase" as opposed to "beat around the bush".
I understand, and that's why I like what you posted. I simply lay the root of the problem with the men and women who write the laws that allow criminals (those that occupy the Ivory Towers of Wall Street) to "do what they do".Takes two to tango
I can't help but wonder who is controlling whom. Look at the Goldman Sachs influence in our Government. Rather than list it myself, here's a little snapshot I got from thenewamerican:I understand, and that's why I like what you posted. Recently there have been some articles that detail how the SEC is made up of former executives from all the major Wall Street firms and when they finish their stint with the SEC they usually return to those firms. They neglect to investigate the vast majority of the complaints they receive and when they do an investigation that is inconclusive they destroy all paperwork associated with that investigation. One former SEC member recalled Bernie Madoff being investigated multiple times over the years, but no one knows how many times because there is no paper trail. The silky Rubin is far from the only Washington insider to have been plucked from the hallowed halls of Goldman Sachs. Another Treasury Secretary, Henry Paulson, architect of the Bush bailout, was a Goldman Sachs CEO (yet another Treasury Secretary, Henry Fowler, became a partner in the firm after his stint at Treasury in the 1960s). Another Goldman Sachs chairman, Jon Corzine, went on to become a U.S. Senator and Governor of the state of New Jersey. Robert Zoellick, former U.S. Trade Representative and Deputy Secretary of State and now World Bank president and prominent member of the Council on Foreign Relations, was a managing director at Goldman Sachs. Joshua Bolten, another former Goldman employee, was White House Chief of Staff for President George W. Bush; it was Bolten who encouraged the President to pick Henry Paulson to head the Treasury Department late in the Bush presidency.
The Obama administration has recruited former top Goldman Sachs operatives Robert Hormats, Mark Patterson, Adam Storch, and Gary Gensler, and for top economic posts has appointed men with long financial ties to Goldman Sachs, such as Timothy Geithner, Lawrence Summers, and Gene Sperling.
IF this goes down, i hope cool heads will prevail.I'm interested to see just how much force will be used against U.S. citizens. Will they be used as an example? Will deadly force be used? Will cooler heads prevail and end peacefully? Judging from the political climate I'm expecting the worst.
How long do cell phone batteries and lap top batteries last? How much food and water can you carry? How many internet people will take a dump in the middle of the street? How many of them are willing to breath teargas and listen to LRAD? Im guessing if it happenes it wont last long or accomplish much- I don't think these people have any resolve..IF this goes down, i hope cool heads will prevail.
I'm actually laughingIn front of the exchange? This proves to be more idiotic than the people buying houses they cant afford that caused this mess...
If your going to protest..do it right at least.
LOL and its on a Saturday!!! omg this keeps getting better and better
Lol me too, who they gona protest? the asian tourists taking family photos in front of it?I'm actually laughing
It's on a saturday- wow, at least that way it wont disrupt the markets- I'm sure it will be totally blown over way before the markets open monday morning..
I'm guessing this whole thing is a stunt put on by 'the man' to draw out weirdos ane either round them up or gather info on them....they just want to see who's listening and who will show up and what they will do....then back to usuall for mondayLol me too, who they gona protest? the asian tourists taking family photos in front of it?
i got that feeling after Anonymous made that video. Anonymous gets a lot of press and seems awfully organized for a group of random hackers. My suspicion initially was that they were part of some CIA false flag attempt to crack down on the internet. The original idea of the protest before Anonymous got involved seemed genuine.I'm guessing this whole thing is a stunt put on by 'the man' to draw out weirdos ane either round them up or gather info on them....they just want to see who's listening and who will show up and what they will do....then back to usuall for monday
90% of the "Wall Street" jobs arent physically located on Wall Street anyway. Most are in midtown Manhattan or Greenwhich CT. I think it is meant to be symbolic. Besides, a big protest in Greenwhich might throw people off.I'm actually laughing
