Ohio greenhouse experiment

lets just say its northeast ohio and really cold with lots of show outside and most mortals wont put any plant outside even in a greenhouse for at least another month.....
i dont expect the plants to make it because the greenhouse isnt heated and has a few leaks here and there
i have a 7watt 5 gallon aquarium heater inside the hydro unit to try to keep the temps up alittle at night
i have the plant covered with a clear plastic cover with a few little holes so it can breath and ill be putting a sheet over top at night just in case
i expect the next few weeks to be critical and hope the experiment works
3 pics follows.... one is the plant with the cover on
second is with the sheet covering the whole thing for after dark
third is the dual therm. with inside temp on top outside on bottom
im not trying this to actually grow bud
its to see if i can extend the greenhouses use for a spring early harvest and a fall late harvest.....i can put plants halfway through harvest early and late seasons for free light and then just refill my grow room and really crank out some bud...... opinions about how crazy i am are welcome (btw white widow)

its a combo of reasons
the main one is i want to load the greenhouse up with plants i start inside in the 12/12 for a few weeks and then can finish in the greenhouse and not pay for light
the heater is only 7 watts and the pump for the hydro unit is like 15 so its cheap
if i can use say 8 of those units and get an ounce or two each i can harvest up to a pound and not pay shit to produce them........
its the capitalist in me

ok i have a 6mil clear/cloudy plastic cover on top of the plant and the sheet was added for night time
the outside temp as of 10 pm eastern is 28 .....inside the greenhouse is ...32... and inside the hydro unit is a nice 58.....seems like so far the heater is doing a nice job even though i only bought the 7watt one for 7 dollars from walmart

yea im not sure if it will be worth it but i dont have much outside to do right now in ohio and the greenhouse is empty and i cleaned the inside and outside so i want to use the damn thing already
i know may will be fine here and probably at least half of april but im greedy and want march too......lol
i dont have the balls to grow anything outside and the greenhouse uses polycarbonate panels and i put some paint type stuff to keep the light down and the heat down and it also makes it really hard to see inside unless ur face is planted on the glass
im planning on putting lots of tomato plants around the widow to cover what im really growing....lol

Yo, I went to grad school in Cleveland. In my opinion, you started too early, but since I still consider myself a beginner, I am amazed at how much abuse these things can take. If you are staying at 58 consistantly, you are fine. It will be slow, but once spring hits, your plants will be big and healthy. Further more, once fall hits, they will be huge and bountiful!
Also, if these don't last, don't dis bag seed which I know is plentiful in NE Ohio. Just hit up Ansel for a few hundred seeds!:hump: Peep my gallery, this bad girl is 100% mexi-brick garbage weed that here, next to the boarder, is $60 a zip, and is the EXACT same shit that makes it there and is $80(I have always been pretty well connected) to whatever(please tell me you aren't paying more than 200 for this shit). Also, I have sprouted those seeds too, so you have an endless supply of seeds!:joint:

thankx for the insights....... hoping for as many readers/comments as possible
i dont care about the plants its just for learning and my kicks
i have 3 mothers in a waterfarm unit and have been getting 12 clones a week and the sucker hasnt even slowed down so i can grow as many widows as i want........ have about 80 clones at various stages from just cloned to 20 inches so my perpetual grow is starting to really get going here are a few shots of the adult clones in veg and my mothers

This is really interesting to me, seeing as i live in northen ohio. I never really thought about the greenhouse idea. So far ive been vegging half inside, then moving them outside no green house. Maybe if this works out for you ill try the green house idea this year though!

well its damn cold here in ohio not sure if its normal or not but its getting below 30 at night so i dont think the 7 watt heater can do the job......just dont have alot of power to spare with all the lights i have on and extension cords everywhere....lol....... a few of the hairs on the oldest plant are turning red/brown but its not exactly the greatest looking thing ive ever seen........lol
maybe ill have better luck when it warms up a bit......looks like march without heating the greenhouse might be useless......time will tell

u need to understand that my greenhouse is 24x8x6.5 that huge and it would take 5 heaters and my electric is being used by my growroom anyway
id love to get a woodburner in there maybe next year
