seems like you spend quite a bit of time and money setting this up, so why not buy at least a 250 or 400 watt hps?? those fluoros will not produce big harvests. something to look into if youre going to take your time, money, and energy into consideration...

seriously just spend $150 max and get a 400w hps off of craigslist. You're wasting time and energy trying to do anything with those lights besides raise seedlings and clones. Trust me I spent 250 all together(well not including electricity) and it more than paid off in the end. Even at the highest billing rate my bill raised maybe $40 a month which was nothing compared to the sweet ganja harvest from my lighting upgrade.

i say this with all due respect. led's are whack, theyre way too expensive, and dont provide the correct spectrum of light. get on craigslist, find a hps and do yourself a favor

1. This dude is talking straight out of his asshole.
2. LEDs vs HPS. There are millions of threads online debating that subject. You can get THE RIGHT LED to perform as well as their HID counterpart, if not better, with less energy and heat. Are LED's right for your grow? I can't answer that question, only you can, after you do the proper research on the subject. Something this "penguinking" failed to do before he proceeded to spread mis-information. I'll say this though. They are a new-er technology, and they ARE pricey.
3. Aluminum foil only reflects heat. It is extremely bad for your plants. I would recommend taking it down ASAP. You want to replace it with Mylar (the shiny side of an emergency blanket will do). You can also get rolls of Mylar at the dollar store!

If money isn't an issue, Plasma lights are the future for real. They stomp LED's and HID. Check out the Chameleon Grow Light.

They just don't produce as much as HID's atm and that's a fact. They may be able to compete someday but right now, no.

by the way neved, your led's will work, but they will produce, lower quality, sparse, buds with very little calyx development. Keep in mind you're trying to replicate the great outdoors, not a nightclub.

Hey neved. Let me try and offer some help to your grow. You need to do a few things in order for your grow to be successful. First, remove that aluminium foil from your plants. It will only generate heat, not help your plants. Second, if you can, try and get an HID lighting system for your plants. I really don't think you have enough LED's to make a successful grow and an HID will give your plants the lighting it needs.
