Looking good. After this test concludes I don't wanna hear any more MG bashing. I'll link bashers to this and other threads as source material. Thx Doc.

guys i can tell you the plants in Mg are taking off like mad and i am still far ways from being done but plants are showing no sign of defiencys i would recomend Mg to any new grower :hump:
also i might add as myself am trying to better my yields i have changed my ways of thinking
normally i would give a decent watering thus medium stays moist now what i am doing is addin only like a cup of food every 2 - 4 days
but also adding in my trays so kinda like bottom feeding, i seriously am thinking this is the way to go rather then flood your medium
this creating less build up of salts alowing roots to breath as well

Doc, don't you think it's very likely that businesses that make "cannabis specific" ferts & nutes started all this BS about MG because it's cheap and works well? I have always found you can "follow the money" back to the ones with something to lose. I know how much liquid nutes you can make from $500 worth of raw goods and the margins are astronimical. A gallon of nutes that sells for $50 costs less than the packaging. Can't have those damn dirt cheap nutes running around without a fight. "Dirty weeds done dirt cheap; dirty weeds done dirt cheap."

i am not 100 percent sure there gunning for them to keep up with the market i think it all comes down to companys that to there research
last year i did a batch of my own ferts meaning i got a 20 litre pail added half full of luke warm water added potato peals , carrots , apples oranges even the stems off my plants i trimmed i mean you name it i put it in there everytime just adding 1 cup of hot water every time stirred the hell out of it well after just 1 week my ppm were over 2000 i never did use it
but if a person could actually figure out the NPK value from it you could make your own nutrients prob even better then any of the leading brands out there IMO
and the costs would be litterly ZERO

The NPK values of almost everything under the sun thats good for plants can be had on google.

I found these extremely helpful.

thanks jack hope this comes usefull for many growers

so what a person does add potato peels , apples and such look on chart and figure out how much of NPK those things have add them up n seperate columns and it would give you a close figure on your NPK ?????

Yeah, It's all additive. Just like a 10-10-10 at half strength is 5-5-5. Lets say the potatoes are 2-3-2 (just an example), and carrots are .5-.9-0, you'd have a 2.5-3.9-2. Thats how I understand it, and it seems to work for me. Course. I use for the most part Bunny Poo, EWC and Bone Meal, and haven't worried about NPK in a good while now.

I don't like MG products for ethical reason. Monsanto, MG's parent company, is an agri-giant with no regards to the cost of life or environment, and has some dubious business practice. Do some reaserch. Just my .02.

I'm a Walmart hater too but in this town they are the game. Came in about 8 years ago & most all the Mom & Pop's were driven out of business.
It sucks, but they have us by the balls for frequent consumables & such.
