I asked for a bread machine for my birthday or christmas, I hope I get it. Make pizza making so much easier. Also fresh bread kicks ass.
Looks good, I'd hit it
I love me some fresh bread!! I don't have a bread machine though, so I have to do it old world style. I usually just throw together some dough and shape it quick with my hands. I need a damn stone to cook my breads and pizza on though
did you boil them bitches up cajun style?
I'm actually not a huge fan of boiled peanuts. We have a guy that comes by our work once a week with 1 lb bags for like $2. Everybody loves them except for me. Most likely because everyone grew up down here (Florida) and I grew up in New England.
I grew mine in the crappy gravel soil sand in my back yard, damn i must have grown a few hundred pounds lmfao, have been eating them all summer long, my potatoe drawer is packed right now, must have a good 40 lbs in there lol. My brother did the can method due to a shortage or space and he loves it lol
I was even able to grow cantaloupe, watermelon and i have about a dozen pumpkins still growing
I think im gonna roast and boil my pnuts, spice them up with some of my home made peppers spice
I'm a huge fan of potatoes, I swear they are one of the foods that keeps me chubby. I can't live without them! Literally eat potatoes with my dinner 4-5 times a week. I have tons of potato recipes.
My go-to that I always make for company when they come over is Saffron mash. I simmer some milk on the stove with a couple heavy pinches of fresh saffron threads (not the crap ground saffron from the store) until it gets a beautiful orange color. Then I simmer, rather than boil my potatoes for 45 minutes. The key to my potatoes is to strain them, put the potatoes back in the pot, but right back onto the burner. You have to work quick not to burn them, but the heat evaporates a lot of the water, so you can have a silky pure mash. Then I use the saffron infused milk, butter, cream cheese, and a dab of ranch. Of course salt and pepper to taste.
mmm, nothings better than food from your own garden! except for mahi mahi you just caught the same day
I know right. My boss has some fresh tuna in his freezer (yeah I know, not really as fresh anymore) for me. It's not yellow-fin, but it's a decent tuna.
i love steak but it's all about the quality of the meat. a shitty steak is shit. i spend A LOT on a nice piece of filet mignon to grill. i won't bother with a bad piece of meat.
You're missing out if you don't cook with bad meat. Granted, you don't want poor quality meat for steaks but some of the best cuts of meat are considered shitty meat.
Take for example my locally famous (in my friends/family group anyway haha) braised short ribs. The beef short rib is considered a poor, tough piece of meat. With the right loving you can make beautiful things out of the "ugly duckling" of the meat world. They just need to be cooked low and slow. That's where barbeque originated... Southern families couldn't afford good meat so they cooked it low and slow until the fat renders out and you have some of the best meat in the world.
