Canadian Medical Marijuana Patients & Growers

In Louisiana, there are special procedures which must be followed in medical malpractice cases. For example, in Louisiana, a claim must be filed with the State before a lawsuit can be filed. This claim is then reviewed by a panel of three Louisiana doctors, who give an opinion about whether any health care provider committed malpractice.Only after the panel has reached its decision can a lawsuit be filed. There are many complicated details to this Louisiana panel procedure, and many traps for the inexperienced Louisiana attorney

Thought I'd add an introduction here too.

Southern Manitoba D.G. Have two patients, both with 35 plant scrips. Considering taking on two more, since you can have two per person, four maximum per household. (My wife can take on two patients as well)

Sure am glad to see people finally getting their liscences. I am curious what other people pay/charge. The route I take is I figure out my costs, and that's all I ask for. (I don't consider my time a cost, since I love what I do, and there's other added "benefits" that offset my time). I've heard lately that street prices are between $200 and $300 per ounce. That's crazy!! No wonder my patients like me so much! LOL

Been through the process (and made the common mistakes) a few times now, so I'm happy to help out any fellow Canucks that need it.

Glad to have stumbled accross this forum.

Welcome aboard, lots of cool things to learn here. Health Canada charges $5 a gram. 140$ an ounce for swag. I would be interested in what others are doing also.

$140 for that garbage??? Wow, I had no idea. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I grow top notch stuff, and I charge my patients less!

Not much less (and it does fluctuate sometimes. My patients are pretty understanding about a little fluctuation in my costs), but the point is that HC stuff is terrible.

How do you guys figure out what to charge?

This is utter BS to go through. A friend of mine has MS. So instead of doing the routines of prescribed elixers that'll knock down an elephant, or to keep up with his physio, he opts to go into a MM programme. Well, one thing leads to another and of course, being able to dose with MJ he feels better, is able to function on a much more adequate level during the day and can keep up with his physio. So, to make a long story short, he inquires about being able to take MM legally. Well, first off his doctor (family doc) wants him to see a counsellor. He does this. The counsellor then makes his report, sends him off to see a specialist in of all things, family counselling, so the entire family has to see a psychologist.

They do that. Aftewards, about two months go by, His family doc then calls him in, puts him on Prozac. My friend doesn't want to do this. Doc says, let's see, let's do a course and see where we're at in say 4 months time. Okay, this is sounding a bit like a run-around. So my friend's father gets him into another doctor, here they have changed from the family GP to a more "liberal" guy (actually a woman) who was recommended by someone who is on MM. Fine, they do that. Now, bear in mind this is all taking a little of 6 months. Nightmare.

Time comes, he gets an appointment (finally) with the new doc, thinks by this time hell be able to get a card to use MM. Well, no. Of course, being a new patient, my friend is set-up (once again) to the new doc's routines. Get tested. See a specialist, visit a counsellor...

It goes on. And on. And still unable to self medicate with MM. So my friend, obviously a little peeved at this time, takes matters into his own hands, gets another friend to acquire some pot for him (as a gift). My friend takes it, feels great. Takes more. Feels better. And this goes on for about a year. Until of course his doc says he can finally sign off on getting him legal to be in the MM programme. So my friend goes in to see his doc, doc remarks that he's looking better. My friend tells the doc that he's been using MJ for awhile now. Well, the doc does a complete turn-around, denies that she'll be able to sign off, wants him to see a counsellor, get into drug rehab etc etc etc...

It boggles the mind. This is where he's at now. Fed up of given the run-around by supposed caring doctors. But it's all the same whether you like it or not. Maybe he had a run of bad luck.

i recently aquired 2 strains from a friend and personally have never seen better stuff

1 is called crinkle, very frosty and gets you retarded

other is called pot of gold, smells very fruity and tastes like maple syrup and its a functioning high, with purple leaves on it

excellent for medicating, but i've only seen these strains from 1 place, anyone else heard of crinkle or pot of gold?

It's official! My card came last week, the same day I planted 4 BC HP.. Few days later, in went a couple self polinated seeds from some Jean Guy which is a pheno of WW apparently.. Looking forward to getting involved.
Personally I'll be growing from a smokers perspective, with overall quality of effect in mind.

I applied in mid May and the card came 2 weeks ago so, say 3 months of waiting. Not bad 59 plants :))
On another note, one of the JG's have shot right past the most vigorous BC HP.. That and the light lime green
stem are peaking my curiousity.. The torture....

I was just released from the Canadian Forces for 2 positive THC screens over 1 year apart. It was an honorable discharge believe it or not, "F5 release = Not suitable for further service at this time" Me and my 10 other friends who I witnessed released before me where told by our release clerk that we could reapply after 1 year of being out.. Needless to say it has been 1 month since my release date and I am FAR from considering re-joining.. I served 4 years in the 1st Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment, an infantry battalion located in Petawawa Ontario. Long story short, I have an injury related to training, which is fully documented by the Military MO at the time. My injury is a herniated disk on my L4, a serious spinal cord injury..

I have been on medication for over 7 months now which is also documented, Not that I take it, I self medicate.. As of early this month my "military medical coverage was ended" I am in the process of re-applying for my Canadian Health insurance card as it expired and I was living in another province at the time with full coverage.

What I want to know, is once i have my Health Insurance Card in hand and I print the applications and fill them out to the best of my ability, Is it possible to bring said applications with the proof of injury from my military service to a GP and request a signature? Would it be unheard of to do? or is said action okay !? I will smoke 1 to ponder my situation :-)

Most Dr will not sign, you need to find a MJ friendly DR and he will do it. The compassion clubs can tell you who is MJ friendly and answer other questions. Toronto has the Do no harm club.
