President Obama has signed legislation to protect gun owners’ rights. In December 2009, nonpartisan website Factcheck.org published an article explaining that “the President signed credit card legislation that included a provision allowing loaded and concealed weapons in national parks. That hasn’t stopped gun rights advocates from believing that Obama is going to implement sweeping anti-firearms policies.”
President Obama advocates reasonable common sense laws that “Uphold liberty, ensure citizen safety, and are fully compatible with a robust Second Amendment.” He spelled out his views in an interview with outdoor website Field & Stream Online, saying: “I am very mindful of the fact that sportsmen in America may have gone hunting with their fathers, their grandfathers, their mothers, their grandmothers, and that this is part of a tradition and a way of life that has to be preserved. And there’s nothing that I will do as president of the United States that will in any way encroach on the ability of sportsmen to continue that tradition.”
The Obama Administration supports a UN treaty that would help stop the worldwide illegal arms trade, while opposing any treaty that would interfere with US gun laws. While an arms treaty is currently being drafted, it has not yet been ratified. The National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action asked members not to circulate false rumors that the US has signed a UN small arms treaty that doesn’t exist yet, explaining: “As we noted in an update from last November, the UN Arms Trade Treaty will be drafted between now and 2012, and even if signed, would not take effect in the US until it was ratified by the Senate.”

Nothing new Hillary Clinton has been at the head of this since before Obama took office. I don't think the Senate would pass it but with government going the way it is it might happen. Currently troops are being massed in areas as if they were going to use other countries militaries to enforce upon us what our own soldiers probably wouldn't do.

They can have my guns, bullets first.

Well you are correct about what bill Obama signed to let people carry in parks, that is all he has done. You can't really count an interview because it is well known that Barack Obama says one thing and does another. VERY WELL KNOWN. Besides all he says he will protect is hunting, he said nothign about self defense, target shooting or just for kicks. I think he should protect those rights too, not only hunters. Besides, as written in the Constitution, the reason we have guns is so we can shoot the politicians who try to turn government against us.

And please find a direct Obama Quote saying he will take away any of your guns

I don't give a rats ass WHO tries to take 'em. Not one of mine is registered, and the old adage holds true "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have them" and I guess that I am now an outlaw. Prolly ought to stockpile ammo now.

That pretty much is the gist of the 2nd amendment, it was put in place so that we would be able to protect ourselves from our own government. Got plenty of ammo here Jack.............LOL I am with you.

my goodness guys... no one is going to try to take a gun away from YOU, trust me.... YOU can have your guns...i trust you with them and am too afraid to try to take em from you... but do we really think everyone having guns is a good thing? Its deffinately shown, the more guns there are the more crime there is, especially crimes with guns(imagine that)... YOU crazy nutbags can have em... but I would like to see the real criminals lose them. I'll be honest, I like guns a lot, they are fun, I have a few. But I would gladly give them up if it meant there would be fewer guns on the streets. You guys have a LOT of different types of guns to lose before you cant protect yourselves, hunt, have fun, and kill politicians. Just relax ya nutbags. Go back to detailing your bunkers ok.

Actually the opposite is true. In almost any country that banned guns in the last 3 decades, the rate of violent crime has increased.

What does protecting your home with a shotgun have anything to do with anything? Where do these thoughts come from? they are really left field sometimes duke.

Why would I need to find a Obama quote? I have never stated that he was trying to get rid of guns have I? no, so why are you asking these questions? I never stated that he was trying to nullify the 2nd amendment in any way. Yet you assume that is my position. Why is that?

its weird where you get your info from... Whoever said that must not have done much traveling around the world... I've been all over and the most scary( in crime means at least) are the ones with guns. we have some of the highest rates in the world of gun violence... i dont get the reasoning

Man...I remember when Obama won the election, ammo went up through the roof - almost literally overnight. There was even some strong evidence to suggest that there was the manufacturer's manufactured "ammo crisis." All a bunch of BS to get nitiwits scared out of their minds about the "black prez cummin to take thur bullitz"

t still works. I have to admit, mind control WORKS. It's just so easy to manufacture an Alex Jones, tell people that, now that they have "discovered the truth" they are "out of the box" and their minds are "free." When infact, it just clings to half-truths and usually outright falsehoods without ever even scratching the surface.

So load up on ammo, knock yourself out. THEY MAY BE COMING TO GET YOU RIGHT NOW!!!!

It has finally come down. But REALLY!! 16 bucks for a box of .223?
And you couldnt get lead or Brass for reloading either

The Local Fun Shops were Buying entire pallets of Ammo at walmart as soon as it came in.
Way I look at it now if you have 5 magazines full your good to go

AND YES IF YOU CANT DEFEND YOUR HOUSE WITH A SHOTGUN YOU GOT PROBLEMS

can shoot the politicians" as no drama said it though. It's for defending yourself. I wont give up my guns but to say i should go out and shoot all the republicans because of their treason against us common people is a bit far, although the more i think about it the more i like the idea. Treason can be a capital offense afterall.
