Actually, this is my first run with HPS, before I used CFL's...I'm still relatively new to indoor growing, I've been growing outdoors for a few years, but indoors got started right around the time I joined RIU, about 10 months ago...Just been picking up pieces of the grow bit by bit.
It'll be fun to find out!

Yeah, this is a picture of my results with CFL's...
that is some nice looking bud man especially with cfls.

I dunno, I found the seeds stashed from 5+ years ago in the top drawer of my desk...Wish I'd cloned her, I had no idea she was gonna turn out like she did...But after her, i tried my hand at DWC and grew a 4' monster in an 18 gallon DWC tote with CFL's...CHopped her early cause of PM, but probably got around 2 off her with not NEARLY enough light...and she would have fattened up a LOT more if i'd let her finish...still good smoke!

what do you prefer soil or dwc i was looking at getting general hydroponics waterfam.

Well......I LOVE the explosive growth and yields of DWC, but I don't like topping off my reservoirs several times a week once the plants get bigger...But man, the plants get nice and big...But soil is cool, great flavors off plants grown in soil, not as much maintainance as far as the medium is concerned...I dunno, if it means anything, In my flower room I have 2 plants in DWC, and 10 in soil, but in my Veg tent (where the next 2 sets for the perpetual are being vegged), I have 11 in DWC and 0 on soil...I'm gonna switch over to hydro for my indoor grows for a while, and just grow in the dirt outdoors! Best of both worlds, baby!

fair enough that makes sense. i think ill stick to soil for a while then might try my hand in dwc. but yeah you have grown some nice bud for cfls and dwc/soil

Right on, yeah...I just need this perpetual to work out so I can harvest at least 3 ounces every 3 weeks...I put plants into flower every 3 weeks, and I start new plants in veg every 3 weeks. I veg 6 weeks before the switch. I have 2 sets in flower, and in 2 more weeks I'll have 3 sets in flower...so 5 weeks from now when I get my first HPS harvest, I'll be growing full steam ahead, and hopefully be getting the numbers I need, if not more!

Ah, well, between me and my lady, we can kill an ounce a week easily....So 3 ounces every 3 weeks is the minimum I need to be pulling to make it worth my while...Anything extra would be icing on the cake! It takes a while to get all the kinks worked out in a perpetual, and I'm guessing the plants I have in veg right now are gonna be the true test, since my first batch I tried to cram 7 girls under a 400w HPS and 385 actual watts of CFL's, and now that I added my 2nd set of 5 plants(sexing 3 from seed, 2 clones) I also added another 150 actual watts of CFL's...lol...But the eventual goal is to have 2-3 big plants per set, 3 sets in flower at a time, 3 weeks apart, flowering for 9 weeks
Oh man oh man, I don't think you're gonna be disappointed...lol...Looking superb!
