Whoa. I have to comment on this. You're saying you grow safely with res temps at a constant 80-83? Or are you talking air temp?Ok, I have a few things to add after reading through all the posts. This is what I have gathered from my experiences.
When I switched from tap to r/o I had the same ph nightmares as you are having. When you run r/o water with low nutes, there are not enough buffers in the water to maintain the ph. Once I switched back to my tap, Voila! Ph problem completely gone, hardly drifts now.
My tap water read 350ppm. Supposedly that is too hard, but my plants love it. And the end results have been amazing.
Back in the day when my PH was off without my knowledge, I would add more nutes to correct the yellowing leaves, but then once the ph came back around a serious nute burn would occur.
You can try a ratio of tap and r/o and see how that treats you...
Now for res temps.. My temps are at a constant 80-83 when lights are on.. The roots are BRIGHT white, and have the perfect fresh cut potatoes smell(never had a problem with diseases, maybe something in AN). So I would say the res temps are not the cause either.
She is looking better, good luck.
And if you are saying res temps at 80-83, you've had no problem and AN is your nute?
