DWC started same problems as always?

hmm well im going to buy some buckets with 6 inch net pot lids a 80watt commercial air pump 5 ( 100 lpm), new hydroton and rockwool dark room 4x4, ph cal, I want a hps perhaps 400-600, 600 with a dimmable ballast would be decent, i want to air cool if i had a 6'' air cool reflector being pulled in by my carbon filter fan, example >carbon filter>reflector>outroom>outtake fan. would this be enough to cool my box and light, would i have to vent the hot air out the room outside the grow? my a/c unit cools the whole room about 10x12, I also have a 80 cfm fan intake

Well that plant i threw in some dirt is doing quite well now hahahaha. No effort required just started grwoing when it got bigger gave it nutes. on flowering nutes about week 1. Was a surprise autoflowering strain. Going good wish it was hydro still haha.

i had the same slime problems as you bubonic i m using wilt guard and regen a root by cx hydropnics and roots are nice and white now no slime

sorry bubbonic i m using jungle juice gro micro bloom by a n,wilt guard and regen a root by cx and also addin super thrive few drops at res change 5 gallon buckets i went thru the whole h2o2 thing almost tryed the tea but wife went to hydro store and thats what we got wilt guard and regen a root res temps are 64 68 room temps 55 lights off 75 to 82 on

any update? i am having very similar issues... have grown in soil for 10 years, first dwc setup, just like yours (only i have black buckets, that i then spray painted black, and then wrapped two layers of duct tape around each one.)

my plants are 6-7 weeks old and are about 5 inches tall, lol. purple stems, yellowing and necrotic leaves, the whole works. finally have beautiful new root growth, and a lot of it, but the plants still will not get any bigger...

rez temps below 70, air temps below 75. cfl lighting (once flowering hits, led lights,) gh lucas formula, no additives outside of h202 in small quantities.

could you please update us on your grow... thanks...

Then I use the core radiators from Danger Den. (6" x 7") Also, I have planned a 2 side solenoid valve, to shunt hot or cold water to the radiators. It's all in my journal. The A/C can't freeze 100 gals of water but the hot side can get too hot.

So, I add a DIY water cooling mini-tower for the deep summer duty. Hot and cold running water. Water is 40 times(?)

That didn't work well. I got a chiller, 1/4 hp. I think I can use the Danger Den radiator as a heat exchanger in the rdwc to keep the light res cooler also. That can keep the room much cooler, which helps the chiller.

I got those fat cylinders about 4 inches long. I tried all that other junk, ruined air pumps, etc. 2.2 liter fish farm pump. That does it.
Need a chiller cause it adds heat.
