Indoor CFL grow journal of someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

I fucking love my plants. I've just decided that my babies will produce that most amazing smoke in the world. There will be so much happiness derived from my plants. Everyone in the world should feel the blanket of happiness that surrounds you, it surrounds you. It could unite the world in a brilliant ring of smoke. They could do that because they are that amazing, and strong, and one of them kind of smells like maple syrup, which is awesome. I don't remember what I'm talking about any more. I'm kind of really high right now, you probably shouldn't haven even read this.

It was just the fact that Walmart is in the same parking lot that I was about to go to anyway. But eitherway, they don't have it. I'll do some googling and make some calls tomorrow, hopefully I'll find some

You'll be able to find it- pull out the yellow pages and call anywhere plant/ nursery related.. you'll find it. May be in some tiny gardener shop, but you'll find it.. esp. now. Over the winter it was a little harder to find- but lots of us are starting our food and flowers now.

Haha. YES.

Listen to them.. we must spread the peace. Marijuana truly is a plant of the gods. :blsmoke:

So I was thinking about flowering. When it comes time to flower, not all my plants are going to be ready and as we all know, plants in different stages need to be seperated. I don't have much room, well, I have plenty of room in my closet, its a big walkin, but I can't go building things in there. So here's what I was thinking: During the 12 hrs of light for my flowering plant(s), everyone stays in the closet as is. At the end of the cycle I go and stick the plants into my foot locker. If I stand it up there's more than enough room in there for 1 or 2 flowering plants and I can still keep them in the closet while the lights are on and they wont see any of it.

Thoughts?

Nothing really new to report, so here's some new pics.

First there's a pic of Moon Beam and then of Princess Consuela. They're 1 week old today. The third one is of Consuela from a different angle...Is she too droopy?

Then we have 2 pics of Esmerelda. Today makes 27 days old, though I'm told because of her attack I should consider her 13 days old.

The rest are pics of my set up. The first one is Esmerelda's. Directly above here is a Y adapter which puts two 5500K 23 watt CFLs about 2 inches from either side of her. MB and PC ahve a 6500K 23 Watt bulb 2-3 inches above them and a 23 watt 3000K CFL off to the side.

Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

I separated my vegging from flowering in the same closet- make a curtain out of black/white poly plastic..

No light can go thru the black/white poly plastic.. above the curtain shouldn't hurt.. i had a makeshift poly plastice reflector over my vegging lights, so pretty much no light went over the top of the curtain.. one side of the curtain was tapped to the wall, the other side was taped only at nighht..

I did some looking through your first journal and found the pics you posted of the set up. I think I could make something along those lines work, it's just the fact that I'll need to spend more money. Granted it's not much, but I'm already at $130. I didn't want to go over $100 and I already know I'm going to have to buy more lamps, more bulbs, more y-adapter. But hey, Go big or go home I guess.

I have this little nook in my closet, a space 18"x20"x5'. I think this would work perfectly for flowering, provided I only flower one plant at a time. The space is definately tall enough, but is it wide enough? I;ve read alot about plants that get really bushy

The plants will grow to their space naturally... and if you get nervous bout the leaves on the wall you can always prune her or lst her to shift growth hormones to growing up instead of bushing out..

First pic is Moon Beam as of 8 this morning, the 3 after that are as of about 30 min ago. Again her set up is a 23 watt 6500K cfl 2-3 inches above her and a 23 watt 3000K off to the side and a symetrical setup about 5 inches next to her for her sister. What happened in the last 12 hers that her leaves are like this? I can't belive it's over watering, could I not be watering her enough? or is it just time for a bigger home? Anyone? Please help, I don't want to lose another one of my babies!

I went shopping again today, got 4 more 6500s, 2 y adapters, another pot, a spray bottle, a gallon of distilled water, a fan, and a therometer. I'm going to be transplanting Moon Beam and Princess Consuela tonight.

I think I may have figured out what happened to them, why they're wilting. I found out that the temp in my closet is about 80 degrees, which is all well and good. But when I went and put the thermometer right by the plants, it went up to over 90. The lights have been moved further away and I now have a fan for ventilation.

I'm going to go do the transplanting now and redo my setup alittle bit. I'll post pics when I'm done.

OK, transplanting is done and all my new toys are in place and here are the pics

The first 3 speak for themselves, then it's Esmerelda, Moon Beam, and Princess Consuela respectively.

It's kind of sad that the strongest plant I have right now is the one that started off with stunted growth and who later had all her leaves eaten by a cat. With the way things have been going I wouldn't be suprised if MB and PC wind up dieing and Ezmerelda winds up being male.

Bah, don't talk like that... I've gotta go run errands right now, but I'll be back tonite, take a bunch of upclose pix of the babies for me.. I'll look at them tonite.. no reason you should lose anymore.. And please.. take that foil down.. making me look bad.. lOL... tin foil can cause burns on your plant, and flat white paint is more reflective...

Ok, time for pix, and I took down the foil. Let me know if you need anything else.
