i wonder what it would look like high on an indica... would we be able to follow its wings, or would they still flutter too fast?

Ever had a hummingbird eat out of your hand? I did. Little nipper was too impatient to wait for me to hang the feeder. You can HEAR them nursing a buzz ... cn

No they just sit on the couch with a bag of sugar water in one hand and the remote in the other.

Yeah it's in bad taste. It's like using a photo of the devastation from a tsunami or an earthquake as the setting for a joke. But it's not the end of the world.

My guess is that it's a mistake. They didn't mean to offend and misjudged. It's never smart to offend people in business. Most businesses work hard to avoid it. It loses money.

I suggest you send them an email telling them you and other Americans find it offensive. Then if they tell you to blow it out your ass, that's the time to boycott them.

I might do the same

This is exactly my point.

They are not some internet forum trolls (like many in this thread alone), Seedsman seeds is a legit business.

I PM'ed them and told them to please remove it and they PM me back and said "no".

I will no longer buy Seedsman seeds. They have a prejudice towards Americans so I guess they hate my money as well.

it's all over the internet folks. Don't kill the messenger. It may be in poor taste but poor taste isn't grounds for censorship.
Nobody ever said anything about censorship.

We are talking about a business who is taking a very aggressive stance against its American customer base.

Its about making people aware and boycotting.

did you also PM anyone that was involved in the movie Nicolas cage was in that was about 9/11 and tell them they have to donate all the monies they have earned from the movie? You should also boycott the theaters for profiting from a disaster when they made money from the tickets they sold.

That is more tasteless than some picture with a funny phrase imo

I sent Seedsmans seeds company a PM through Facebook asking them to please remove the photograph out of respect for American culture and they replied with a simple, "No".

The photograph still remains.
hmmm... that seems to change things.

If they had just been making a lighthearted joke about MJ smoke in NY they wouldnt have answered that way. They would at least have been conciliatory. This sounds like they mean it to be in you face.

Taking your business elsewhere is nothing like censorship. They are free to express their unpleasant ideas on their website and you are free to buy elsewhere.

I try to avoid businesses that have an agenda like religion, politics etc even if I agree with their POV.

I don't agree or disagree with the picture. They didn't go behind the scenes and say "we hate americans....how can we slander americans and laugh about it later?". They saw a picture. They thought it was funny, and it pertained to their business. They thought someone would go on an internet forum and post the picture with links to their business website. They thought maybe it would be viral and would grow multiple pages per hour. And maybe just by talking about how much you hate them, you are actually advertising FOR them. If you don't like what someone else is doing, shut up and ignore it. There's nothing more American than THAT. Of course you have the right to complain and cry about it. And I reserve the right to call you can idiot for doing so.

It was meant for you to look at it....laugh a little, then move on with your day. Their intentions weren't anti-American and 20-25 of their thousands of customers taking offense to it isn't going to make them take it down. Just because you complained and they don't care doesn't mean they hate America. It means they don't care about your complaints. If the majority of their American customers we're offended, they would take it down and apologize. The majority of their customers don't give a fuck because they didn't mean anything by it.

By all means, boycott their business. But boycott the tons of tv shows and movies that profit from disasters. Hell, a lot of them even profit from making jokes ABOUT disasters. We watch. We laugh. We don't care. Laughing at it is almost more American than taking offense from it, but then we get into semantics. And I'm not arguing semantics on this website. We will be here for years.
