tired so off to bed just as i came across your thread .... i have "subbed" although maybe a little late in the day... but i'll read this from page 1 tomorrow.... quick question ... did you finish with CFL? ... or did you het a hps?

Yes this is pure CFL grow. I really want a HPS for a flower room, it'll be some time before that gets set up. As you are not late! This is a continuous grow, I take clones every 2 weeks.

That was indeed one of my first reasons but the process itself makes it worth it for me. Anything that's good in itself is worth keeping... or even if the plant doesnt produce buds it'll still bring me satisfaction. something like that

Yeah for sure. there is so much gratification in going through the journey of caring for another living thing to produce something that is beautiful.

Aites so I got back just in time to water my girls before the lights went out. They all survived the weekend of me visiting my parents. I used the "pot in a cup full of water with a string around the inside of the pot". It worked extremely well for the weekend, but anything longer than that I will have to use a bigger up or figure out another setup. I didn't have time to take update pictures, so I'll attempt to do that tomorrow. My Royal Dwarf is most likely on it's last week. We will see how she progresses through this week.

Glad to hear everyone did fine in your absence. There has got to be an easy way to water when people have to take short vacations. Maybe some kind of continous siphon action with a small tube.
How long total is the Royal Dwarf on? Any decrease in flower time or is that taking the same despite the very short veg?

The Royal Dwarf is AutoFem, so it is always going to be done about 8 weeks/2months. It has been 49 days/7weeks.

Alright guys, so like I said earlier, all of my girls survived my weekend away.
My Royal Dwarf is ready for harvest any day now. I am waiting for just a few more pistols to die off. I've been reading up on harvesting and it has been saying to wait until 85-90 percent of the pistols die. Do you all agree?
Once I decide to harvest, I am going to give her one day without water, then I will cut and dry. After she is dried properly, I will proceed to cure her in a glass jar.
Pics off all of this will be posted along with a final weight. I will also be posting a height before I cut her.
IN the pics below, you will see a KC36 with a pretty good looking top. This is the youngest seedling of the 5 KC36's I planted at the start. She is the best looking (besides the mother kc36).
There is another picture of a Kc36 with a lot of pistols. This is the oldest KC36 (flowering time wise).
I don't know the exact days for these girls as I had to restore my laptop. I will be resetting my day tracker program after this post. I know that today is day 49 flower for my Royal Dwarf.
Royal dwarf pics are the ones with the massive bud btw.

Thanks man! I heard that as well.. But there were reports on both of them so i choose one and planned on you guys making sure I picked the right one. I'll be looking into it a bit more. I am very proud.

don't want to teach you how to suck eggs... or repeat what you already know..... however in the interest of sending you in knowing what your looking for .....
around all the buds there will (should) be a forest of microscopic mushroom looking things ... you'll need a decent magnifying glass or portable microscope.... i have a 30x jewlers loupe (same difference) ... look for these fluid filled tiny mushroom shapped thingies and check daily for signs of cloudyness starting .. my advise is cut them when 50% have turned an amber like colour
many strains have pistols that turn orange/brown well early... some don't change at all until the bud is past its best.... not good news for the budding smoker!
