I have beefed up my Flower room with UVB rays. I will have updates on results. PICS

The plant said it was ready in 41 days, awfully quick in my mind.

It did not smoke any stronger, but it put me to sleep. Tried again later, put me to sleep. Two days in a row, take three tokes, pass out at the keyboard.

Samples were handed around. A couple responses were the same as mine, "puts me to sleep, let me know when you have sativa again."
Other responses, "I still have half the joint for tomorrow, this shit lasts forever."

I don't care that much for indica anyway. At UVB at levels that burn hairs off the end buds, the couchlock effect in the Northern Lights strain I use are apporximately doubled.
Again, it does not make the high any higher, just adds sleep to it.

I am adding about half that amount of UVB to the main budroom, the overkill was just for testing. But sometimes sleep is good.
A note for those doing similar, white reflectors absorb 100% of ultraviolet, not typo, 100%. More will reflect off a bare wood ceiling than will reflect off a white painted reflector. Polished metal reflectors for UV.

Now to figure out how to keep a sativa short enough for the test room, 8' ceiling limit. The main budroom has 16', not a problem there, but not enough money to fill it to overflowing with UV.

The left is the control, frostier trichomes, the right is UV. Not as much red in the UV room. It shows differences in pistol color, the UVB caused a reddish brown core in the hairs ten days in. The color remained until the hairs sucked back in. This is an early picture showing the brown hairs, these are growing, not end of cycle.
UV pistol 18 day.jpg
The control plant had white hairs until they browned up in the last days before being sucked in. That and thin trichomes were the only visible differences and they only stood out when side by side with the control plant.

The harvest caught me by surprise and no pictures of the whole plant. I have a stunted plant I vegged an extra month I am putting in, it will be strong enough to take the extra two weeks past due I plan this time, pictures will happen more consistantly, I hope

Smoking sativa again, such a relief to be able to stay awake all day.

uv indica 1.jpg UV clone day 3 veg.JPG

These are just fun shots, left is the plant behind the UVB reflectors, right is a three day old veg plant getting toughened up under high frequencies. Without this hardiness training the plant tends to fall over when smacked with the full bore light in the test room. First three plants died from overdose, no wimps allowed.
The rest of the lights and plants were moved to take the picture.

30 days flower 26 days UVB

This will probably be the last update I do on this plant besides maybe a post after cure. As you may see from the pictures im starting to grow fungus. Its very hard to see because of the earliyness of it but if you know what to look for you might see it.

So I am removing the few invected areas (a few small leaf tips) and should be ok. This may be the result of implementing UVB. I will still continue to use UVB but will just have to keep a closer eye on my humidity levels and keep them lower which will not be a problem.

The plant will be harvested a little earlier than wanted. Im going to see if I can wait till Monday or Tuesday to give it a few more days. Shouldn't be a problem. Still should be some great smoke.

The UVB definetly developes more trichomes and for this reason I will probably be using it in my grow. Here are some pics.

I have also attached a couple of pics of a new plant that has been under UVB for about 7 days. This particular genetic plant has seem to react to the UVB in a very positive way. It is actually growing trichimes on the fan leaves. Not the bud sites but the actual fan leaveas on the outside of the bud sites. Very cool.

The last three pics are of the new plant. The trim on this plant will definetly make some great hash.

Hey All,
I have read that UVB increases tricomb production. So I went ahead and added some UVB lights to my flower room. Left side is 20w bulb and the right side is a 13 watt bulb. (didnt have anymore 20 watts at the store :(

I an open to tips and suggestions. Is 33 watts enough for a 4' x 2' grow room or should I get more wattage? Are they to close to the plants?

I will keep everyone up to date on the progress of the flowering process.
ubv supplement amounts should be 10% of yr total wattage. example 1000w hps=100w uvb
