Lol I've got one pit who will follow around a joint,bowl,bong anything that's being passed around. My other two leave the room completely. Anyone who says its cruel to let my dog get a whiff is an idiot. Unless said person is holding the dog down and blowing smoke in it's face ( I think we've all seen someone do it). That's not cool but letting the dog get some on his own will is nothing wrong.

You can get a prescription for your pet for marijuana from a veterinarian. Most won't, because there is a higher chance they will get investigated and most vet's don't have their records in order.

i think i read that somewhere at some point. like a thc exctract pill, right? for the same kind of conditions humans could traditionally get prescribed?

my dog well the familys dog is the best pet we have ever had its well trained real loving. we always get her teddy bears from the second hand store to chew up she always starts with the eyes and then starts to rip the stuffing out lol

my gf has a little boy and my dog seems to prefer the kid's toys over his own lol

If a dog does not enjoy the smoke you will know, forcing it into his/her nose is wrong. My pit will sniff a few times of my exhale then walk away. my other little mutt will stay and continue Licking the Air enjoying the smoke

When I gave then both a cookie I made..(thought I did it wrong cause they diddnt work on me). Well an hour later, my dogs were spazzing out, could not walk correctly for over 6 hours I felt bad. They did not know what was going on & I could imagine how bad they felt >.<

I feel you there - my American Terrier was in the back of my truck (chained) and another dog in the neighborhood ran along side and they had words (he got really worked up). I got home thinking no more about it, unchained him & he bolted into the street & bit a kid that had just been pushed down by another kid. Long story short, the law here is you have to wait 10 days after a bite before you can euthanize an animal.
Worst fucking 10 days I ever endured, but after an attack like that you have a responsibility as an owner to never allow that to happen again.
Damn, I miss him.

The human brain is capable of weighing the cause and effects of decision maing, and acting upon the conscious decsion based upon the determined or at least intended outcome. Dogs are not capable of such thinking, and live on instinct and conditioning according to Pavlov. Kids that blow smoke in the face of their pets and laugh as they get high is not the same thing as a human deciding if it's right for them or why they're doing it.

It's abuse, period and simple. And as far as comparing giving a child (age was not mentioned) a sip of beer is not even close to this discussion.....unless the same people saying this get their kids drunk too.

Getting your pets fucked up is so childish it is making my blood pressure soar just thinking about it.

Blowing smoke at your animal isn't abuse, the animal can move if it wants to. Dogs have memories and know if they don't like the smoke and will get out of the way. Not to mention like I said earlier, veterinarians will prescribe marijuana to animals for different conditions. Is giving my dog metacam abuse if it's prescribed by my dogs vet to help him deal with the pain of hip displasia? No, it's not. Either is making my dog treats with canna butter (prescribed by a vet) to help ease his pain. How is that abuse? He gets a benefit from it and it's better than shoving a bunch of chemicals down his throat that I have to fight with him to get to swallow.

Dude my one pit that hates the most is the 2 year old and I think its because she had gotten into the remainder of a batch and ate about 7 cookies which was odd cause she was never one to steal food. She was in a coma all weekend. I was worried man.

nice looking shepards! sorry for the loss of your best pal. something no one wants to think about when they're pets are young and healthy. but i love my shepard. his intelligence and loyalty i've never seen before. we became quite attached very quickly.
