I agree, I think it needs to stay in the outdoor thread, we don't want a bunch of kids/punks to show up and ruin everything for us outdoor growers. I think it should be invite only, you pre-pay, you get an invitation. I can make up a flier/invitation to send to each person who pre-pays. You pre-pay, then we PM you an invitation with details, location, and directions.
I can see 4 months of advertising can really get things out of hand. I agree with TWS, keep it to 80-100 heads, that should be perfect.

He makes a point, I don't want to exclude anyone.
But if we really open it up to everyone, we'll have to have an 'indoor' section, & the hydro guy's would all be down in the slough, the organic guy's would all want to be over by themselves (so they don't get cross infected) burning sage & beating a drum. The cabinet grow guy's would all want a tight little box or little corner to sit in.
And the toke/n/talk crowd would all be dancing around with light sticks like some kinda rave!
If it really gets much bigger, we're gonna need some kind of official sponsorship from RIU.
Until then this is just us on the outdoor board

Okay well I will see you on Thursday DJJ and FDD also Wheezer and who else shows up. I have some bags we can give away for 4/20 . Well sounds great the prepay and the number limit. I also would like to see all who made it to the first given VIP status for the second one. Reason being they are the ones who can be depended on to show up. With me your word is everything. Dirrtyd

I like the V.I.P. thing, if you made the first one you should get V.I.P. treatment at the second one.
You medicated this morning Dirty d? I can read your post perfectly this morning, ,sometimes reading your posts is like "code breaking".....what the hell did he say? Today everything is capitalized, no words mashed together, your post is perfect......is everything okay over there, your not out of meds are you?......lol......joke!

Yeah good and medicated doing a little work in the back yard. After reading five pages I was able to come up with that. I just had a great time with some great people last time and I would not like to see that change at all. dirrtyd

This would be a step up from what we accomplished at Camp Far West. I think this fits the term "Taking it too the next level".

As this will be a 4/20 event, "Genetics" would be the obvious theme.

The only 'VIP' thing I could think of is maybe, $5 off the price, or first choice of the beds? What would they get as a 'VIP'?

If we would collect enough pre-pay money we could send some to our brother grymum in San Diego & have some t-shirts made.

I'm hoping we get enough pre-pays to have the place paid for before 420.
If your planning on attending this time, your pre-pay is important! It will help make this happen.
No one is making any money off this BBQ. All money collected will be used for facilities/supplies for this event.
Everything else is pot-luck, & voluntary.

Hope to see everyone there (first 100 of course);-)

I think in an effort to get as much funds/commitment from as many party goes as early as we can, lets do this...
If you pre pay by March 1st it's $30 a person to attend. If you pay between March 1st and April 1st, $40 a person, and anything after April 1st it's $50 a person. That way we can see where we're at as time goes by. Hopefully by March 1st we can have all the funds needed to get shirts again, buy food/drinks, who knows, just would be nice to know the money is there to do stuff with.
Math time... If 80 people paid $30ea that's $2400, that would leave an extra $1050 after rent to put towards the party! We could do some fun stuff with that cash!
Again I think with this much time to marinate (4 months as of today) I can see this event possibly getting out of hand, too many people. I say invite only, when you pay you get your invitation. If attendance seems low coming up to the party date, then we can make adjustments in our advertising to boost attendance numbers, to get our 80-100 heads (I think $40ea between 50-60 heads would be perfect though).

Maybe add $10 to the attendance fee if you want a tee-shirt, $30 W/O shirt, $40 with shirt! I sure don't want to volunteer Jyermum for something he might not want to do again though...lol

You guys are going to get me in trouble on the homestead. I've got a wife and infant child here and all of a sudden I'm going on mystery camping trips 500 miles away.

Sign me up for whatever and tell me where to send the coin. A bed would be good but not necessary and please someone remind me this time to grab some beans ...and a rom cut.

Double JJ I for one apreciate all your time and effort putting together the BBQ at far wast lake. We all had a great time,got to meet people we never thought we would and had plenty of good food. I shared some of my medi beans which i know people will be happy with and Wezzer shared some of his beans with me and others. thats what its all about people sharing without the greed. fdd seems to be a lot nicer person than I antisapaited,i got a really nice pipe from him as well. JJ if you need any help with the 420 jig let me know and I can get my brother and maybe some of hodges boys to help. Just send me a PM or hodge has my phone number.

That would be awesome Nuggs, it was GREAT to see some of you OG's come out of your shells, & spread some love at the BBQ!

I think with the good people involved & all the interest, this thing is a sure hit!

Those are great ideas treeman, we will incorperate that into a price schedule. I like the idea of it costing a little more if you wait to sign up
