Final Stages of flowering question....

I was just curious as a beginner here... Im currently at day 33 of flowering for a strain that states 8-9 weeks of flowering...( ww x bb)... so far so good and things are going well but I've heard that some serious bud growth takes place in the final stages. Just looking for any input as to when this tends to take place and what exactly to expect??? with this strain or just in general would be fine.... posting a pic of one the larger buds taken yesterday.

patience is a virtue, your plant looks great and expect her to start packing on the density soon + last two weeks usually shows a nice plump factor

I find that in the last 2 weeks of bloom , my buds gain more weight , it's not always visible to see , but they swell and gain weight , nice looking ww plant , peace Umbre...

If that's your bud at 33 days flower ( looks great BTW ) just picture it double that size by week 9!...

And as stated last 2 weeks the buds really ''SWELL" as they finish...

He is right , at 33 days , that is a very decent pheno , i hope you have some healthy clones from that beauty , if you have , grow 1 into a mother and build an army ......

while I have you guys here I have another quick question... when I say 33 days I mean 33rd day of 12/12.... is it accurate to say 33 days into flower or is there a transition period that should be factored in???

I go from when i first see flower formation or pistils , i think this is how the seedbanks work so it makes sense to me to do the same ....

True! Same thing. I don't know if I've seen plants just over a month into the bloom that looked quite as developed as that. Maybe you're saying 33 days after they've begun to show rather than right from 12/12. Either way, lookin' gooooood for a first time grow. As everyone here says, the last two weeks or so things really phatten up far more than at any time in their development. And the last few days are really critical to hold on for. Wait till the trichomes rise on the bud's surface to look like tiny crystal mushrooms and turn in color from clear or white to slightly amber. It will seems as though one day you'll look at them and suddenly notice a slight amber hue to the the tops that wasn't there just a day or two before. Their sweet smell will nearly double with pungent reek factor. Most all strains follow this similar recognizable pattern you can't miss. Crop after the lights have been on just a few hours instead of wiating till it's almost bedtime. Studies show to get the very best connoisseur results potency curves peak at about this time of day.
