right now I'm running 2- Blackstar 100w.... 1 - 150w HPS and one 105w CFL just because I had an extra switched outlet... so all 4 of them on one plant...lol... probably overkill but it seems to be working:)

while I have you guys here I have another quick question... when I say 33 days I mean 33rd day of 12/12.... is it accurate to say 33 days into flower or is there a transition period that should be factored in???
Sorry to dis your other responses but your 8-9 weeks flower time (though very rarey accurate) starts from the day you flip em to 12/12.

Yep, Mrmeangreen... I've heard people on both sides of the fence... I was just curious because I wanted to get a rough "due date" but I'll be keeping an eye on the trichs so I'm not too concerned which is accurate.. was just to get an idea as to when to expect them to finish..... but ty the response nonetheless:)

Yea man...

I count 12/12 starting from the day they go into the flower room...

But others will wait until pistils show before starting to count... (usually two weeks after 12 12)

Here's some bud porn for ya...

Some pics of my 8 week pheno of Bubba Kush...

Kmksrh21... at the rate things are going I'm hoping to post pics just like your 3rd one!!!! looks great~ amazing job!!

ww x bb is my number one strain. I got the seeds from 'female seeds'. A piece of valuable advice: don't listen to the recommended finishing time. you need to do 10-11 weeks for this strain. I have done this strain multiple times up to 8 1/2 weeks and the buds were thick in growth but when dried always turned out super thin and hardly potent. And that's with optimum room conditions. Once i started allowing it to go into the end of week 10 or end of week 11, I noticed the buds dried super dense and thick. And the smell was amazing as soon as I opened the bag. Please take my advice on this so you can have a bountiful harvest. I promise you will not be disappointed.

NOTE: most breeders take a week or two off the actual completion time in order to encourage people to buy the seeds. Most people are too impatient to get a harvest so they prefer shorter growing strains rather than the long growing strains.

You're on the right track...

Keep up whatever you're doing and keep posting...

My bud would not be growing as good as it is if I hadn't found this site.

And thats the truth!

just curious cannabis philosopher.... I'm growing them from femaleseeds as well.... after 10 or 11 weeks what did your trichomes look like??? I'm in NO hurry so I'd love to let Her go as long as she needs to... great to talk to someone who has grown the same seeds!!!!

Kmksrh21...... you took the words right out fo my mouth.... this is an amazing resource!!! I owe every 'ounce' of success...( pun intended ;) to all of the amazing people on this site!!

@donnie. My trichomes at 10-11 weeks are usually 45% cloudy, 55% amber. It can vary just a little, but I promise you will be amazed at the results. Even at the end of week 10 will give you some excellent smoke. Be sure to let her fully air dry before curing. Don't start curing until you hear the stems 'snap' when bended. Never start curing until this point. For the best smell and smoothest smoke be sure to start flushing weeks 8-10. You'll see. And we are always here to help. We are all part of the movement in which we believe, Cannabis should be legal.

I should have mentioned.... been using the fox farms trio.... have been using bud candy for the last few weeks... but they recommend only using it through week 6 of flowering so I grabbed the molasses per suggestion of some friends to finish her with... any input ALWAYS appreciated!

I go from when i first see flower formation or pistils , i think this is how the seedbanks work so it makes sense to me to do the same ....
Well, I think you're wrong. I'm fairly certain that the flowering period starts the first day of 12/12. Many seed companies will give both flowering periods (for indoor crops) and also harvest times (for outdoor crops).

Here's an example from this page: http://barneysfarm.com/?l=en&i=33

8 Ball Kush

The mountainous border area between Afghanistan and Pakistan is traditionally known as the source of some of the best hashish in the world. After many years of selectively inbreeding the superior genetics from this region, we can now offer a strain that is very easy to grow and flourishes even under unfavorable conditions. This sturdy, short plant – a good choice for both SOG and ScrOG gardens – grows wide, dark leaves and produces dense buds that form on thick stems. The flavors are classic Kush: earthy and musky, with deep spicy accents.

it certainly is an interesting topic PJ.... many opinions it seems with very few, if any definitive answers.... I'm all ears... would love to hear it debated:leaf:

my gut instinct is that there may be somewhat of a transition period.... maybe a week??? but this is strictly me trying to make sense of something I know very little, if anything about. I'm sure there are people on here that could provide a good argument for both sides.... and I'd love to hear them do it:)
