Welcome Doobieus, glad you came by! have you put any thought into being a judge? I know BillCollector said he would so that would make 2 Anyway where glad to have you following along either way!! You can always tease us with your tricome shots and just say its in a coffie container lol..

As for the catagories thats what we where thinking, now for how to judge and how many judges we need? Any ideas would be great lol.. We still have plenty of time it would just be good to have the judges following along early so they can watch everything progress

Lol sure I'll judge, but I think a poll would be nice too let the public decide you know? As far as categories I think soil/hydro of course, seed/clone of course, and categories for lights would be nice if a lot of people entered. I'm just trying to think of a balance to keep everything relatively fair. I'll definitely be following this Treez.

Nope, but i've smoked it before! I pulled 9 clones off of a buds revegged momma 4 weeks into flower. Not sure how good the clones will be on that one or if it's gonna be worth it since they are probably 5-6 weeks old already and 4" tall cept for the ones in hydro which are probably 8" but well shaded by other non flower clones.

Sour D on the other hand, I've never had.. =( One of the reasons I'm going for 12/12 after roots so I can get it faster. Hopefully the coffee can and some lucas fuel will give me a zip! I've read that it's a great strain for hydro.

Sour D is a MUST!!!! I love it and the Toxic Fuel smell that comes along with it....

I am not using my special blend, as I only needed a 1/2 gallon or so of soil.
This one will be going off with about 50/50 Perlite/FFOF.

Looking good bro! I want to grow and cross White Widow very badly, just got to find a real good WW. All my soil grows are always 50/50 Perlite to Dirt, reason being cause I feed using RM3's Making It Rain technique.

Hey peeps,
just thought i would check in on all the coffee cans going on.
All of them are looking great. can't wait till they finish.
Will be interesting to see what some of the yeilds are.

As an aside here are my 2 litre bubble buckets going strong.
little story about these plants. Lol i forgot i had promised a couple of cuttings to a mate.
He grabbed these 2 them rang me a few days later to come and get them cause he wasn't ready for them.
Spent 3 days i think without light and nutes.
Poor babies.
I have flipped them into flower last night.
i think they will do ok.

I highly recommend you cover your netpot tops. Plants look beautiful too, wouldnt want to see them get fucked up from light penetrating through the tops!

Thanks for the hint but i've never covered the net pot tops and i've never had a problem. I do run H2O2 in there which will kill all nasties.

Hahaha drampire i've done that before.

I use the 50% solution and that can burn like nothing you seen before.

I do use a pipette though to minimise risk.

or a 64oz $tree "folgers can" shape.

I'dreally love to use the 64oz, but the rules are X<48oz.

I guessI could use the 32oz can,but I cant risk having to water it every day.If it
drains the res more thanonce a day im screwed..

+ Iwon't get hydroclay until 2012, so I'm going to be late..
I'd love to compete though, and I can make the harvest date for sure.

Grow it with Soil bro....You dont need to do hydro.

Which brings a question for the hydro growers, I have used styrofoam as perlite before in my soil grow, can you use it as a medium for a Hydro grow???

Use the 32! I think you will be fine, then again I'm a soil guy and very new to this so I would take BkB, BillC or anyone else with a little more experience in hydro's opinion over mine lmao.. I'm a couple weeks into flowering and I did veg for little I think lol, it was a clone so once it rooted pretty well I threw her into flowering. She can almost last 2 days if you had to push her in the small container so I think you might be able to get away with it if you go straight from clone Something to think about anyway I hope you join ethier way, peace!

Understandable bro, it is fun. Hope you can find some hydroton. Shit if you want maybe I can send you a zip lock bag of some. You dont think Styrofoam will work?

@ST, I am in the same boat with you on hydro, very new to it but I have finished 4 DWC plants.

EDIT: I forgot to mentioned I lost 3 DWC plants too.....LOL

My idk beans popped yesterday, got my coffee container already for it. I'll post pics later. I'm just gonna do hydro for both the idk and the sour d since it wouldn't be any different from the ones I have in 1 gal bags if I did soil. Can use h2o2 to clean roots up every week or 2 unless your using beneficial microbes.

i reckon i wont have to drop out. ill have time. it hasnt sprouted out but the taproot has grown. perhaps u guys could cut me in since it hasnt sprouted or anything yet . and remember, my container is 11.5 oz and im using a homemade first time method with bermuda grass via nest style grow. Ill post a pic here shortly . but i would rlly like to be back in the comp since it took forever to germ

I started my current grow thinking I was going to do my 1st full DWC grow. Out of the 4 I started only 1 is left. The culprit was Brown Slime!!! I now brew a tea with Earth Worm Castings, Great White, Molasses and Distilled Water.

#1 was my res temps....they were too high!!! #2 if you use tap water, let it sit out for 24 hours!!!

Here was one of my plants with the Brown Slime.

So so sorry bro I know that as of this writing, I think my 2 entries are not going to make it either. We learn from our mistakes, and pull up our boot straps and continue the "Hobby". Best of luck with the one remaining plant bro.
