Coffee Can Growers

like nothing ever happened! i mean, there is the obvious gap from where it split, but theres no signs of the plant slowing growth or yellowing leaves..in fact, the plant put all her energy into that limb that she sprouted above the other colas in a dominate fashion! heres a pic..walking through the garden!!!! look at all these flowers, i mean theyre all over man!!! this is only like 20% of the plant..lol like whoa! i hope to get atleast an oz if not ill be damn thrilled for a joyous smoke!!

thanks man! theres mucho crowding there, once i know what leaves im able to remove and when..... I was discouraged because of how much I had to move her, and the day i moved her the leaves were just being torn off from the box, her top weight started tipping the netpot and was falling over, that break happened, the air pump unplugged and I didnt know so it went bubbleless for a day.. its all good and fK she drinks like a gal or 2!!! my better half has to hold the plant now when i change the res..lol other than that im a happy camper now!! looking forward to her finish, you guys have been helpful and kept me going through this!! thanks! and A LOT of googling..haha, im going to need advice help when the harvest begins.. stay on board yall!

see im curious about this.....there is a Flora feeding chart I found that ive been using for my coffeecan grows...it shows only 10wks...1-3 being veg time 18/6 light cycle, on the 4th week it changes to "flower" 12/12...is that about right?? is 3 weeks long enough?? see my coffeecans are on week 3 currently of veg, should I switch em over to 12/12 now?????? normajane veged for almost 2 months cuz I didnt know when to switch to 12/12...

I wouldnt veg at all if I was doing a coffee can... I would have run 12/12 from seed so i didnt run out of room.

I read somewhere that its always best to atleast veg the plant before throwing it into flowering...im open to new ideas!! my coffee can grows are about 3 weeks into veg and 4in tall, should I throw them into their 12/12 light cycle now? im trying to avoid an acre of weed in my closet!! theres some autoflower strains that im going to try when these are done, those I will run 12/12 from seed as suggested...

Autoflowers are best grown on 24/0 or 20/4.

The only reason I wouldnt veg too long is you will get to the point where you are filling your rez multiple times a day.

You will see amazing results almost all the time. It's definitely not the same as a good veg, you don't get the same vigor as you would, but it does help cut back on space and if your lucky time. The reason why you don't want to veg long, is because during lights off (Probably not 100% of the time, but a good bit) your roots are growing, increasing the vigor of your plant. Which is awesome, but the more roots your plants have, the more leaves they can sustain to feed, and that means more light to be taken in.......which in the end, is just bigger thicker plants.

edit: I think BC is right though Mike, I'm sure you will be happy with flipping the switch now, or in 2-3 days. Those babies are already gonna stretch during flower.

Then what you can do, is after the stretch, cut a couple clones, root and reveg them so you can save the strains

12/12 from seed you really have to have patience if not then dont bother cause it takes some time for the plant to mature enough to start really flowering. I have completed four 12/12 from seed grows and 1 going on right now.

awesome! thanks for the replies. Google has been my friend as well as you all for info! I knew of only 2 light cycles now i know of more...im going to put my coffeecans on 12/12 now, they veged 3 weeks, and I do believe the more roots the more feed they need! and booooyyy norma janes 5gal tub is packed with roots....she is still stretching, stems already stretched passed the lighting! this is nuts man..lol

ok ok ok, so im getting annoying I know but hey, what can u do when you have questions and google keeps being repetitive.....heres norma jane, this is about 5 ft from the closet..shes HUGEE...ok also i took random shots of the base, leaves HAVE to be able to come off at this point...I have buds on the bottom that are being covered up and I cant bend the leaves no more...im going to have about 5+ stems with buds but the lower receive no light cuz of the leaves..
ghetto closet was ina hurry to move:
see all the big obvious leaves... arent those only needed for veg stage? can i cut em??
can I remove those 4 fan leaves and keep the 2 where the flowers are ?

I'm Ready! Doing CC grows now, and will start a new one just for this grow. My strain will be SFV OG Kush bx2 (male selected from gifted beans from karma) crossed with my Eurkle Dom Querkle aka "Grapey Grass Knuckles"

Already growing this strain for karma's approval. Hopefully gonna be doing charitable works with these 3 weeks in and it reakys of nothing but Grapey Lemons with Kush tones thru out. Resin production is on with these gurls. Running 1 pheno at moment that is a 50/50. Already have full purple stems via Eurkle genetics
