Mike your girls is nowhere near finished growing from the looks of the picture in post#327...I dont even think your plant has even started to stretch yet, trust me, she is going to explode once she kicks into full flowering force!!!
oh no, really?. Lol!! im maybe week 2 into flowering, since post#327, those branches that I tied down are now upwards, i think its neat how the plant looks for light, really has not grown much, the pistils however are getting longer and are starting to pop out more.....! Ive read many reviews about the GH nutes am using, figured id try them, been good thus far, im going to try the floranova my next grow, singleseedcentre has this 60day autoflower seed, seems tempting, I do want to try an autoflower again. I Fukd up so bad on my first autoflower seed, it was autojack herrer, i should have read a bit more before actually getting involved..too much nutes, light burn, just BLAH! but now im ready!

  • The branches coming off of your secondary branches, remove all bu t the tips of the secondaries.
You'll understand more in the thread, it will eliminate popcorn bullshit in your grow, you'll get more A gradebuds.

Whats wrong with popcorn??? Big buds look cool but they are not any better than popcorn. In fact I think the popcorn is even better sometimes.

It was a clone and I Sup Crop'd her main cola on a daily basis to bring up the side branching. I just pulled off all the large fan leaves. I been doing this a lot lately where I do a defoliation of a plant after week 6 of Flowering. I know there are growers out there who dont like pulling anything off their plants and I use to be that way but now I am liking the late defoliation. If you need help with Sup Crop you can go to you tube and there are Sup Crop videos.

This is a good one and its all over the RIU site...

I cut off all my fan leafs too i start around week 4 of 12/12. They only need fan leafs to veg and grow new growth. Now the sugaur leafs are what feeds your nuggets also removing the fan leafs saves your resin heads at time of harvest because theres not giant leafs being pulled through and over the nuggets breaking resin heads. The thirsd thing i have noticed is a double is not triple in my yield. 12 plants under a 150w hps 12/12 from seed and i average around 1 oz per plant before i has at like 8 to 14 grams per plant. Also makes harvest easy as shit a few cuts and they are ready to hang;-)

Starting another run in my grow box all blueberry crosses this time and i might throw one in dro got 6 new seedlings to play with;-)

ok nice vid, i will try that next grow! ive attached some pics of this excessive foliage..something HAS to be able to come out! its really bushy, if those solar leaves were removed, the new leaves that actually have the pistils shootin out would be better exposed...
See here where im holding it..those 2 fan leaves above my hand, can I remove those since theres a new set already there?? can I do that to the other brances like that?? Ive read post that debate cutting the leaves and just leaving them alone til they turn yellow and are able to actually just pluck the leaf out....i read that u can just bend them out of the way under other branches so i just went ahead with that, but i prefer cutting and cleaning up the plant some, but dont want to really stress or slow it down...

IMAG0195.jpganything here?
IMAG0194.jpg trippy!! can anything be removed from here?

What week are you in? Lst the tops and remove the bottom growth is what i would do if the stretch is over well the removing bottom leafs and budsites is after the stretch but LST the whole way through. Also if your running out of room do not wait to lst due to the fact branches get stiff in bud and snap easily so it makes it more work to lst in flower but if your still in the first weeks you should be fine just work the branch meaning slightly bend it stop then bend some more and so on or even try pinching the stem if you do this right you dont loose yield. I had a few strains stretch a lot more then others so i simply pinched the main stem and laid the colas down sideways and propped them up or tied them in place even with the canopy.

The first pic of you pulling down a branch i would take any fan leafs that sit on top of the branch once pulled down so the leafs that face the middle of the plant. This promotes more light into the lower parts of the plant and if done in veg produces a lot more branching that along with lsting the top down almost to the soil will give you a lot more branches to and you down loose your top cola in pursuit of an even canopy just simply release when branches catch up then tie back down if needed.

i seem to like the tuck and pull down method, ive LST'd about 4 branches already, ive hid the big fan leaves now little leaves just keep poppin up all over! i dont know what strain im growing so this is quite interesting..its going to cover my bedroom floor! the main stem is almost a dime in diameter and about 5 inches tall..the colas are like maybe a nuthair from a ft, but there LST'd WAYYY down..once that string is cut they will hit the lights! lol..im going start week 3 flower on tues..i do believe its done stretching now it seems the plant is filling itself out

This is the best part....Now you get to watch her buds grow √

Be careful with pulling those leaves off....try and just tuck all the big leaves away if you can. Just think about it....is one growth on one cola worth saving 4-5 lower growths? or are you just cutting that fan leave to give the same growth next to it more light? If it's just for that growth, then you'll be better to just leave it on there....but if 4-5 other smaller colas can benefit, then by all means do away with it. I like to prune away the middle leaves, and leave the outside leaves on. (Assuming my plant is LST'd in the shape of a box, or circle.)

Hope that made sense, I'm pretty high :P

I had the opportunity the other day at our local HomeTeapot to meet a clerk that told me about this method as well. He suggested to me to clip the middle fan leaf off to allow more light "Down Under", and now that I have pruned my (4) Girls a little bit, they sure look better than before. Thanks so very much for the post and knowledge Pyschild ... A truly grateful newbie with his 1st grow going really well !!

Your fine! Just tie her up where she's pretty flush again, and drop some water in the whole. She'll heal herself in no time. This happens to my topped plants all the time, especially the ones her are thick and stirdy. They don't like to budge much. Most of the time after they split I just keep them tied down and fill the whole with water. They normally heal up pretty fast √
