The 2 seedlings are IDK identical in height, both popped at the same time. I wanted to compare soil to hydro on the same plant so don't mind soil-slut, she's just here for the ride. The clone is my Sour D, which will go to my other coffee hydro 12/12.

Incase anyone cares, hydro is @ 5.8ph 248ppm w/ no shock. (will feed lucas formula 8-16) Soil @ 6.5 roots organic (will feed fox farm trio)~

i reckon i wont have to drop out. ill have time. it hasnt sprouted out but the taproot has grown. perhaps u guys could cut me in since it hasnt sprouted or anything yet . and remember, my container is 11.5 oz and im using a homemade first time method with bermuda grass via nest style grow. Ill post a pic here shortly . but i would rlly like to be back in the comp since it took forever to germ

How high was your res temp to help contribute to the root slime? I'm paranoid now, how quick did that happen and what do I have to do to avoid it beside what you already said lol?

My 1st tell tale was a unstable pH, it seemed to drop everyday. It was driving me nutes. But at that time I didnt know what it meant. Then I noticed some gooey shit on my roots but I thought it was the Silica Shield I was using so I would wait till the next res change. Little did I know it was forming then. After that my roots were getting brown and my dumbass thought it was the nutes staining my roots, wrong it was slime getting settled in. We had a stretch of very very hot weather in late October where my tent was hitting over 100F. With my weak knowledge of hydro growing I couldnt figure out what was wrong. I kept thinking it was my nutes cause I was using new nutes. So it was a couple of things that did them in. My advice to you, if you see something in your res or your reading are out of whack, ask someone immediately. Hydro is not as forgiving as Soil growing. The temps during the heat wave were over 75F!!!

I also find it weird that your ph dropped,I have always seen it rise with slime

Anyone know much about using hot shots no pest strips in a basement with pets in the house? I wanted to get one and leave in the rooms during the night cycles, and move it from room to room. I need something to cut down mites and gnats a bit. I'm alreadying using neem foliar as well as with regular waterings. Seems like no pest strips have the strongest feedback other than the 99% water jugs for $40. Just want to know how safe they are in houses with pets since it says on the label to use in areas that arent going to be occupied for 4 months~ It's either the strips or overkill with a dr doom fogger in a 45cu ft room... One room I have 4-5 weeks left of flower, so gotta do something quick.

Interesting info hsaom but it was over 75F and at that time my temp gauge wasnt the most reliable. It was one of those that you stick on a fish tank with the colors on it. Now I got a legit gauge. When I would feel the water with my hand it was definitely warm. As far as my air pump and plastic bubble makers which never die:

Yes the survivor is a special lady to me cause she beat the slime! Well the tea did the job I am sure of it! So knowing what I use for a air pump and all what else would be the culprit. I am not being a dick bro, I just want to learn what you prolly know! So do I need a bigger pump or do you think the shitty temp gauge I was using did them in??? We did have like a week of hot ass weather which cranked my tent temp to well over 100F. I got a 1K in a 4x4.

Yeah its a plastic airstone that never runs out, they sell them at the pet store by my house for $2, just cant beat it. Since I threw my DWC into Flowering the temps have been around 65-68 cause now I have a legit gauge and I also wrapped my bucket with the Winshield Sun deflector that people use for their windshields in cars. Plus on hot days I use the frozen water bottles and surround the bucket if it starts to get hot. I learned a lot this grow about growing in hydro, its a lot of fun and the growth rate is insane. Thanks for the input and be sure I will be asking you questions as others here too! We appreciate you pros helping us nOObs in hydro!!!

Hi all, just a quick update.

I have just finished up taping up my coffee container and have cut a hole in the top for a 3 inch net pot. I also have one Barny's Farms LSD feminized seed started in a peat pellet. I just need to get my hands on a couple smaller air stones and some Hydroton, I should have these items before she pops threw the pellet.
