I've been running 2 two-litre pop bottles with sugar and yeast. I add a little sugar every 24-48 hours. (I believe it was in Gastanker's grow journal there is a great link about calculating the CO2 requirements for your area. I can't find it right now but maybe GT has it saved.

Since we're running the same area, I'll let you know that our area came out to 100 grams of sugar ever 24 hours would produce an ample source of CO2. I usually end up adding 200 grams every 48 hours or so..

The only other thing you might want to keep in mind is to change the water every two weeks. If things are anaerobic (lack of Oxygent) in the pop bottle (I think it is as mine smells almost like fermenting beer) the yeast produces alcohol and the solution becomes too acidic for the yeast and they are killed off. Yeast and Sugar in the presence of O2 produce Water and CO2 .

To help with this, I started off with two bottles half-full and then every now and then I add water to bring the pH back up a bit.

Nice tip: (get a funnel for adding the sugar, yeast and water)

I haven't run the tubing at all.. I question the reason for this? I just placed both of my bottles next to my fan. Anyone know the reason for the tubing?

Well, I managed to get nothing done last night. Not one thing.....sigh....perhaps tonight. Girls just finished first 12 hours under the hps and look great. Clones are still looking fantastic also. A few pics....

I have no non-lst grow to compare it to, but I gotta believe it increases yield!!! Can't wait to see a wall to wall sea of colas :)!!

A shot of the girls under the hps. They grow up so fast *tear*. I have had more new tops busting their way through the canopy. Didn't do any fan leaf cutting. Pull a few yellowed ones that basically fell right off. Opened the canopy up a smidge also. But seriously, these girls are getting huge. Every top is between 12"-15". An even enough canopy. Had to raise the light a few inches. My tallest girl the headband
, was beginning to show slight heat stress.

Omg you guys. Your making me feel so Fucking awesome,lol!! Matt, i would be shit my pants if I could pull 1.5 out of a 3x3 cab with a 400w! I'll be thrilled if I pull 3/4 lbs, but I'm expecting more around a half pound. That seems reasonable right? Mmmm I love blue cheese. I have 1 bagseed beaner of it. Hope to god its female whenever I run it :)

Low of 69 during lights out. Highs of 78 at lights on. Hopefully it only stretches a bit, with tight nodes....have 65 -1' colas :). A guy can dream

just did some quick math and with 65 colas to hit 1.5 lbs each one would have to weigh 11g thats not too far fetched man :)

AS MUCH LIGHT AS YOU CAN GET ON THEM ESPECIALLY IN FLOWER IS BEST, YOU CAN STILL GORW WITH INADAQUET LIGHTING BUT YOUR YEILD IS GOING TO SUFFER. shit soory caps

just checked out your grow didnt get a chance to read through the whole thing but looks good.
