Hell yeah id say thats justified. If ur life is in danger because someone else has a deadly weapon and does not comply to your comands then they sure as hell should b shot on spot. Fuck that ass holes life im gonna live. If u cant do the time dont do the crime.

damn he unloaded like 10 in him at point blank range.I'd of shot his ass to or maybe just blew his knees out lol.The cop would of probably been killed or really hurt if the guy would of cracked him in his head with that crowbar,it looked like it had some spike on it to so I see it the same as coming at someone with a knife.One good shot to the head and that bar could of probably did more damage then a knife.I think it was justified.

Had that been a civilian defending his family, in all probability he'd be facing murder charges. A) using a gun when confronted with a crowbar, 2) for firing 10 rounds into the aggressor. I saw at least 4 cops involved there, and I can't help but believe that 4 of them could have taken the guy down without killing him. Sure, one of them would have in all probability sustained a serious injury, but that is what they are being paid to do. 4 cops bum rushing the guy at once could have ended that without killing him.
The cops need to be held to the same standards as we are. None of them wanted to get hit with that crowbar and I don't blame them but that's why I'm not a cop. A shot to the leg, arm, or anything could have disabled him as well. I know that the torso is the best target, but these guys ostensibly train on the firing range. The arm might have been hard to hit, but I could have put a couple in the leg, no problem. That cop panicked pure and simple.
We had a very similar incedent occur here a couple of years ago, where 2 cops opened fire and killed a suspect, firing a total of 50 rounds! They were cleared of charges, and the shooting was deemed justified!! That meant that at least one of them RELOADED. If that guy doesn't face charges, then that gives the next cop the confidence to shoot someone because the cop doesn't want to "risk" anything. Better safe than sorry, I guess. Isn't that what we pay them to do? Take the risks that we don't want to? Public Safety? What happens if a passerby is hit with a riccochet from one or two of the ten rounds fired??
No wonder the cops believe that they can shoot us with impunity.

Cops don't shoot to maim. They train to aim for center mass. Shooting at kneecaps when you are scared and adrenaline is pumping isn't practical. They go for the biggest target they can aim at in order to stop the person from doing whatever it is they are doing. If they hit a leg or some other body part it's usually just piss poor shooting.

You nailed it imo doc. One has to consider their background when firing a weapon which in this case was likely a busy street, sidewalk, and other businesses. Not sure why there were 10 shots (sounded to me like 5 shots from two different weapons) but aiming for extemities is just not practical nor safe. Can you imagine the story and outrage when a little kid, just riding by in their parents car took a ricochet to the head because the officer was aiming for the knee? What makes it even more justified imo is the fact that the officer being threatened was not the one to fire first but rather the officer off to the side which tells me he was in fear of his partners life.Cops don't shoot to maim. Before the discussion, I would like to paste the Description: because I am an idiot when it comes to watching and listening to moving pictures on the internet.
MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect armed with a crowbar was shot outside of a Carl's Jr. restaurant in Monterey Park on Monday morning. Authorities say the incident began with the suspect breaking windows at Carl's Jr. in the 1200 block of Avenida Cesar Chavez just before 9:30 a.m. The suspect then walked inside, while workers and customers ran outside. Police arrived as the suspect was exiting the fast-food restaurant. After repeatedly telling the suspect to drop the weapon, the suspect was Tasered. Police said the Taser was ineffective, and the suspect swung the three-foot metal bar at officers twice. At least one officer opened fire on the suspect. The suspect was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No one else was injured in the incident. The officer-involved shooting is under investigation.
ANYWAY! This is the problem with American Police Forces. When the Pigs arrive, they are just 2 or 3. Now where the fuck are the rest of them? If more pigs showed up, they would take out their batons and proceed beating the shit out of that man until he lied still for packing away in prison. As a Real Captain , I prefer to bludgeon him senseless with 12 men all around him simultaneously rising their black plastic sticks of justice and cudgeling him into submission, than giving him the sweet and tastey release of Death. Humans can't exact their God-Like justice and long time punishment coupled with total life destruction on a convict if HE'S FUCKING DEAD!!!!

Yeah, i never saw the guy swing but i did see him set up to swing. As for jumping and beating him, some of them would likely get severely injured and their goal is to go home at the end of their shift.

for the record it's not a crowbar its a demoliton bar which would be alot worse then a crowbar, i say fuck him drop him like a rock, they also could have used the k-9 which was less then 8 ft from him dog would have torn the guys arm off

That's not true. Their goal is to have man force withall the damned taxes they suck down, and beat the crap out of the guy so he gets big prison time and pays his due for being cracked out of his motherfucking mind! If the suspect carried a gun, he dies by the gun. But he has a silly melee weapon, taze him again with 2 tazers and then beat the crap out of them. American cops should call back up and spend the money we give them with man force. A bullet costs a nickel. Fuck those pussies, now there is noone to pay for all the damage except for the insurance company.
