I added an additional 1 gallon of RO with nutrients this evening. At a total of 4 weeks, 1 day since germination ( 1 week flower ), I am using up about 2-2.5 gallons a day in my rez. My nutrient uptake to water uptake seems to be spot on.
I also added 17.5 ml of H&G Bud-XL to my rez tonight.
PH is currently 6.1, PPM's are 780 (225 PPM base with Cal-Mag), Temp 78-83 (nite 68-72) and RH 45-55. Full rez change is planned for 1/18.
I went ahead and changed my rez tonight as I had some free time. I dropped Algen Extract from the mix. I added H&G's Amino Treatment to the mix. Set the PH at 6.0 and PPM's are running 770 (180 base).

they look great man...i just started useing a amino acid additive (dark energy) i like it so far but i use a hygrozyme with to help break it down its some think stuff. also add caroload and greatwhite shark.
Cool stuff. So far with the H&G products I have very little residue and I have yet to really see the need to clean my rez. There is just a faint stain where the rez level . The H&G products are very clean with almost zero residue.. amazing stuff.

Lookin' good man. I really appreciate you doing this grow journal.. all of the 'blue' strains really intrigue me. I've been wondering about Blue Mystic for a while & I've heard Nirvana is good gear. 3 weeks into flower now eh? I have to say, your plants look really healthy, but they should have more bud matter than that at 3 weeks. or.. I could be completely wrong hahaha maybe they take 10 weeks to finish? anywho, keep us updated my man this could very well be my next grow, and props on the house & garden... I run FoxFarm.. thinking about swithing over. enough rambling, g'luck
They've been pretty stressed because I keep the under growth trimmed down quite a bit. I also switched them to 12/12 after only 3 weeks of growth since seed, so they had a little catching up to do I believe.
I'll post some more updated pictures later tonight. They are starting to develop numerous bud sites. One of them hasn't even started flowering yet.
I read on another journal to expect between 65 and 72 days. This is all new to me, this is my first grow lol. I assume everything is going well ha!
I'm having to add about 2 gallons every 24 hours. I have not done a rez change yet. Mix is Cal Mag 5ml, A&B 6ml, Zen 3ml, BXL 3ml, Amino 2.5ml, Drip .5ml and Roots 1ml per one gallon water.
I've been getting some leaf curl on my largest and most mature plant. The smaller ones are looking very happy with some ever so slight nute burn on the tips. I've also done some trimming.

This is your first grow? damn this is such a wicked setup. I am surprized to hear your getting nute burn at such a low ppm. Do you know if that is the .5 conversion or the .7 conversion?
I've been talking to ievolution alot, he runs H&G at full recommended strength so 1400ppm at full flower(with .7 conversion) or 1000ppm at .5 conversion. He says they love it, He also grows in coco which tends to concentrate salts in the medium so you should be able to run a higher ppm due to being in a water medium.
You should consult with ievolution, he has alot of experience with H&G

Thanks! Yeah first grow lol.. I just spent A LOT of time reading the forums before I started. I had a few attempts prior to this in soil, but nothing that lasted beyond a few weeks.
I think I started using the Bud-XL to soon and that was what caused the problem. The new growth doesn't have any problems. As my rez level goes down, my PPM is only dropping slightly more. The magic number has been 750-780 last few days it seems.
I've also done a lot of trimming which I'm sure stressed the plants out some.
I'll have to look him up. I've posted a few times in the H&G thread. A few other people said that H&G ran a little hot for them. I have read that this strain takes about 65-72 days of flower.

I really wish I was growing in a water medium. I think I'll be the first person to say I'm growing in Coco coir and NOT loving it. everyone raves about it, but I dont think you can beat a res operated hydro setup. I still gotta do all that work of mixing nutes, plus all the work with the medium. I think my next grow will either go in super soil or a rDWC

Changed Rez today. I went through 3 gallons in 24 hours. The plants are really sucking down the water. PPM's have been maintaining around 750-800. Currently it's at 840 PPM with Rez change

How can you be using almost as much Calmag as you are base nutes?!!! thats crazy... ok its half because you use 55 A and 55 B but still. Are you sure you need that much?
My H&G cocos AB has calcium listed as an ingredient in one bottle and magnesium is in the other, I don't know if aqua flakes has calcium and magnesium as well but I think it does. H&G is designed to be used with 50ppm water so it should already have the cal/mag covered

I've been told from 5ml-10ml of CalMag per gallon. My tap water is 265-285ppm, my RO water with CalmMag is 225-250.
