Thats a pretty sweet list of greenery growing in your backyard, how much room do you have if you don't mind me asking? Because I was interested in a lot of the kinds of plants your growing for next season, but my room is limited. I have cherry tomatoes going already, purple tomatoes and corn are next on my list, how do those purple tomacos taste. lol
My back yard is a little more than .5 of an acre. The purple tomatoes are very sweet and meaty they are by far the best tomatoes i've ever had. Corn is very easy to grow. I grow silver queen it's a very tough strain.

i really want to try purp tomatoes , but they are hard to get a hold of here
dude I found the tomatoes at a farmers market saved some of the seeds from them and I didn't even think the seeds would pop but they did. I've cloned them and now have a bunch of seeds.

My son and I just planted/seeded 25 plants that we've never grown before (well, except for the Sweet and Genovese Basils). He's only 9 and he is learning the magic of life. We both are very excited about the grow. He's started a grow journal to count the number of germinations each day.

+rep coastin thats awesome, about your son its a skill that too many dont appreciate these days
when i was a kid, i used to work at my grampas house in the garden, making home made horse radish, and tending to all the roses, it started my journey growing, although he would never have approved growing mj, medical or not.. i always think of him while im in the garden, and apply ALOT of his techniques to my "style" of growing, its more of a changing of the times its not the same as it used to be. people accept that.

I too LOVE working with plant's/ flowers! I have done it for years now! I have WON 1st, 2nd places in growing competitions, school & for the state fair! I would love to maybe one day work in
a green house, or hell build me one of my own! I have herd it from numerous people that tell me ALL the time that I have a green thumb, lol! I just laugh and look at my thumb,
and say it isn't green!
 I would LOVE to also get a botany license as well! And or work in a state that has already "legalized bud, say in maybe one of those green houses that grows for the people "such as myself" that use marijuana for medical purposes! ! Well, you guys take er easy.. Later.. D

I know what you mean I haven't touched a pop in almost 3 years and I don't miss em one bit, last winter I quit eating processed sugar all together only using honey or natural maple syrup as sweeteners and I couldn't believe how much you appreciate all the other flavors then sweet. I really took a liking to spicy and sour flavorings by quitting sweet, found out I really enjoyed the sugar in my coffee so it reduced the amount I drank daily and really learned to enjoy bitter as a flavor. The whole cutting out sugar only lasted 3 months because I found out how difficult it was to cut it out because it's in almost EVERYTHING you buy from the grocery store, in those months by cutting sugars only I lost 20lbs so it really showed me how much sugars add to weight and unhealthiness. Now calzones the wife is addicted to also, we moved away for school somewhere where they didn't exists and every time someone would drive through town from somewhere they had them she would get them to bring her one, she was also prego and having mad cravings for them. lol

It took me like 15 seconds to figure that out, ahahaha.

I have some seeds on the way. Check out rareseeds.com. its Baker creek heirloom seeds I order from them pretty much every year. Huge selection.
Yeah, me too. In fact, I beat you to the link :-P

Smokey, lolz.
I don't drink soda either. The last thing I had that could be considered soda was some ginger ale like 8 months ago. Otherwise, it's been like 3 years.

I guess this is just an update. We planted 25 different sets of seeds in 144 jiffy pots. As of yesterday 131 seeds germinated and we haven't really even started yet. My eyes are old, so I have a problem distinguishing between 2 seeds and, well, a dozen seeds. The little guy just loves the progress. You can't believe the number of high fives I've had this week.
