that sucks i lowered the light to 3 incches but it burned the tips should i just use my 200 watt hps? think it would burn it to a crisp now that it is so young

agreed, a lil bit. add more light keep 1-2" away from top of plant. stay high

swicth it to your hps and keep at 12" or so. or have a fan pointing at your cfls to help keep those a lil cooler. stay high

I let them stretch like that intentionally, then at transplant, just bury the stem so just the leaves are above the soil, the stem will turn into a larger root mass, i do this twice during veg. give it a try, you will love the outcome!
