Since you have the Slyme Dish and the matching Slyme Dabber, I was wondering if you were going to notice this or not.
Here is where I suck at glass. The terminology! Do you have a "stock photo" of one similar in style that you like? I usually use existing artists work as a template per say, even though it never looks quite similar. More to help me think in my head how long/big/small/thick each piece needs to be to attach to each other. Terminology-wise, a diffused bubbler can mean so many things to me which is why a stock photo of one with similar plumbing is also real handy!!
Oil or Herb, or both? Thanks man! The other dish is on its well on its way to you, should be there any day!

Aah so you just want it to bubble with lots of tiny bubbles. That's easy enough! I'll make a tall can with some worked insides to it. Black/Sparkle, White/Sparkle, Rainbow/White, Orange/Purple fire fades, or something solid? herb or oil? 14mm or 18mm? And does it have the male slide on it to attach to a bong, or is this a standalone piece?

Agreed, terminology is a bitch. And I also agree that I would call that a diffused ashcatcher or sidecar peculator.
Diffused bubbler and I think of something like this - small holes/slits in the downstem stem or multibarrel versus one large hole.
That's my new pipe researchkitty - finally broke down and purchased a dedicated oil rig so as soon an I have additional funding I'm going to need a colored dome for it and will definitely be coming to you.

Is that a Vigil, Gastanker? If so I have the same piece and I fucking love it, haha. I really like the nail, but I'm thinking of trying out a Ti just for perspective as I've only tried glass and quartz.

It is actually. I have to say the quartz nail looks super sexy compared to the glass nails I saw at the shop - personally this is the only rig I've ever tried so I can't compare it to anything but it seems great.

Nice rig! Its the perfect size for oil in my opinion. Yea, your glass dome is ugly, it could use an upgrade.....
I've yet to try Quartz, even though I have a few rods of it in stock. I dont like glass nails, they break too fast. I've dropped around 200g on my Ti nail since acquiring it, they just dont break, and have such nice heads to take big dabs with....... You can buy a cheap Ti nail on eBay for like $20-$30 at MOST brand new. Not the best of the best but they will work!
I've filled one cartridge so far, and consumed most of it. Filled it exactly 1.0g of oil. Didnt need a recharge at all. 400 hits is blasphemy, its more like 50 good chugs. 400 hits if your doing a really tiny puff each time, yes, but I want to get high not just taste the oil.
I think its efficiency comes from not having any reclaim, all the oil goes right into ya. I'm very happy with it. Thanks again for the referral to them!By the way, Wal-Mart sells the USB charger in the cigarette isle -- $8.95.

That little bubbler is sweet and just like what I'm looking for, if you make some make 2! My only bong currently is a 18in 3 kink zong that needs like a half gram dab to get milky. That's why I did not jump on the slyme dome, despite REALLY wanting it. If you want to hold it for me and make the diffused bubblers I know where to send the $.

Definitely need to start making small diffused oil rigs kitty - super hot item right now and they are surprisingly hard to find with a nice one of a kind custom touch versus the generic (kinda like I have - although a very nice generic). Although I'll be slightly annoyed if you are successful as I'm sure I'll have immediate buyers remorse with my piece
I had the misfortune to stumble across that Ti discussion on the concentrate thread.
Pretty sad. I wonder if they are aware that the US imports at least half of our Ti from Kazakhstan... Can't wait for someone to argue that 24k 99.99 American gold is better than 24k 99.99 Indian gold. Of course there might be a difference in the workmanship of the finished product along with post treatment of the metal - but to argue against the metal itself...

researchkitty.. im very interested in getting into glass blowing i know its expensive and i know it requires determination i definatly have the determination and i can throw a few grand down for the stuff i need could you please give me some advice on what to get and what brand torch to get and all the tools necessary i would like to eventually beable to make bongs with what i get because thats all i smoke outa besides a few fatties a month..so if you could help me out id appreciate it thanks for your time!

Atoms are atoms! I think the problem there was a lot of the people making the items are trying to set themselves apart from the other guys and spewing misinformation. We all know Canadian gold is the best, four 9's!

thanks for the info will the GTT Lynx be able to blow big and small pieces? i just wanna buy one torch that will last a long time and be able to make whatever with it also what size tanks for oxygen and propane do you use? can you use 50 lb tanks?

I dont know what a 50# tank is. Oxygen tanks are sold by the cubic foot (160cuft, 265 (K tank), 300 (T tank)). I use two 160cuft tanks. One tank lasts me 4 hours on the torch. You'll have to find them on craigslist or your local oxygen supply company. For Propane, BBQ tanks are fine. $20 at Home Depot. For every propane tank you go through, you'll go through 10 or 15 oxygen tanks first. You use very little propane in comparison to oxygen.
I cant recommend what torch you want to blow big or small pieces, but if you tell me what TYPE of big or small pieces you want to make, that can help a lot. The final product you desire will dictate what equipment you need. I do caution, if your looking to make "bongs", you wont be doing it on a hand torch any time soon, that's lathe territory ($10,000 for a good lathe and UP). The GTT Lynx that I recommended will do anything from pendants to mini bubblers. Its around $400. Its a starter torch, it isnt meant to play with the big boys. However, GTT torches sell USED for the same price as NEW, so you arent losing any $$ by trying the Lynx out and learning the ropes first. Then, you can step up to a GTT Mirage if you like ($1750) which is the torch that I use. I wont ever need a bigger torch. THere's no more heat that I could possibly need.
The kiln is pretty easy to pick out. Pick it out by 110v or 220v and then make sure its the size you want to hold all the shit you'd make in a day. When you do, that's the kiln you want.
I wholeheartedly recommend Paragon kilns, they are the best durability and construction. You can choose AIM kilns instead, for about 25-30% less, with the appropriate quality loss too.All the tools, glass, and other stuff you need you will need regardless of which torch or kiln you get. I think if your hearts into it it'll run you about $4000 to start.
Happy to help if you have any questions any time, too. Glass isnt hard, it just takes a lot of hours to learn each little technique. When you learn 10 techniques, you've made a pendant. 10 more techniques to learn and you can make a full spoon. etc etc etc....
