I really don't think it is bugs...look to be fertilizer related...I think you might want to look at transplanting into Fox Farms Ocean Forest and then give them nothing but water, probably til harvest...you could even add in extra perlite and worm castings if you are feeling fancy, but plain old Ocean Forest would clear up this issue whatever it is...unless it is the pH of the water...because pH can cause all the same symptoms as a deficiency or lockout and keep anything else you do from doing any good...Get an easy to use line of nutes, with as few additives as possible to get you started...I got a sample of some stuff in the mail, Veg + Bloom it is made by a company in California called Hydroponics Research and there can be no easier line of nutes...you use the same thing through the whole grow...and it is powder so you only need a measuring spoon...anyway for ease of use I like it...and the plants in veg that were given some for their first feeding really like it..and not jjust Mj, catnip, strawberries, and tomatoes all love it..I was going to try the sample with just one marigold to see how that went first...but it was so awesome I gave a little to all the plants when next they needed water...it's weird but it almost seems to make them eat more, or use more of the nutes that are there, or something...but I like it, and the plants love it...in veg...now I tried with a plant in flower, and uhhhhh....the plants don't look harmed and all the budding is still looking great and getting bigger everyday, but I dont know if it is due to these nutes, or the last I used, or the organic amendments in the soil, but....I used it and the plants aren't hurt...I haven't yet been able to take one plant all they way from veg to flower with these nutes, but I'm about to...so...we'll see...but hey they are sending out free samples, and it couldn't be easier to start with...like when you run out try a 3 part line...get that down and then after ahile you start to feel like a mad scientist...playing with nematodes, and silver nitrate, and I don't know what all...I have tried so many things...and all of them are good, but I find that I like certai additives from some lines and other things from other lines...I am a sample whore...but after awhile you can work with most anything as long as you can read the labels..and organics are a really great place to start learning to read the labels I think...like I didn't understand the numbers, but with organics it is more about how things interact with each other, and I can dig that...it makes sense...so chemical fertilizers have already done all the interacting...all you focus on are the numbers of what is there...and since you know how all this works it makes the chemical stuff easier to understand...so...start somewhere...I would say read up on organics and how soil feeds the plants planted in it...Not to mention it is harder to overdo most organic nutes...I mean you can...and people say that the General Hydroponics General Organics GO Box is worthless because liquid additives aren't the same or what not..but I don't know...I have tried adding the amendments to the soil and then just watering...and it works great and the plants look nice and everything goes well, but it is so boooorrrrriiiiiinnnnnnggggggggg....I like to mix things...--->hello??? so i like the liquid amendments...I can see a noticeable difference for the better after they are given...where as the organically amended soil with dry additives has nice growth throughout, the liquid amendments are already broken down for the plant, so you see it happen...you know...and I mean I have also used dry organic amendments mixed in with water and given that way, but damn peruvian seabird guano is not easily soluble...so I have to like shake it around with hot water and a rock til I think my arms will fall off...and then it is almost dissolved enough to not end up just stuck to the inside of the jug...I guess you could toss a few in before you water a few times through the grow and let them sit there like slow release nutes...? Anyway I am high and rambling...but starting doesn't have to be hard..although it always seems like it is ...
